I am a huge Yubikey fan and this it right up there the other 5 I own. this is standard USB C. This is not a negative, but if your hands are on the larger side likemine then the contact point are a little more difficut when it is connected to the USB port but knowing that I would still purchase again. I just have it plugged into a short USB extensio cable. This is a great option if you want to keep it connected to a laptop since it is such a low profile.

Was given a 5C for a new job which got me on the platform, but would hit me in the shin or have to plug in multiple times a day. This is tiny and I can reach down quickly when it needs to activate. It's not the easiest to pull out, but I bought it as more of a permanent key.

I keep this yubikey in my laptop all the time. It makes it convenient to access my password manager and other key sites.Unfortunately, when placing the laptop in my lap, it is just too easy to hit the button and triggering a response from the device. There is an OSS software that can help with this problem, but it is buggy and unreliable. I uninstalled it after a little while.You can configure the Yubikey using the provided management software to require a longer press to activeate. And that has made the situation better.But an ideal fix would just have one button on top, so that your legs pressing from below wouldn't ever trigger a response.The best option for security out there, but could use a small improvement.

Got this because I have a mac and work required it for that platform. It is nice on the macbook because it has 3x ports so you're not stuck losing your only USB-C with it. However, on PC I would get the USB 2.0 / A version because those ports are a lot more prevalent and it functions exactly the same. The USB-C version is a little difficult to remove because it's so tiny and I need to keep my fingernails grown out to grab it.

I used the older generation of tiny Yubikeys for the USB-A ports. They were great because you could just leave them in the port!This USB-C one likewise works in the same manner! And two tiny discreet LEDs to indicate when it is actively being used.

Excellent security; not difficult to remove if you know how. Just clear adjacent ports and then alternate gently sliding a fingernail under the left and right edges of the black holder and lift a millimeter at a time until it extends out far enough to pull it out by gripping both black sides. SEE UPDATE BELOW!UPDATE: I changed my mind about this being easy to remove. When I wrote that, I was just learning how to use Yubikey and THOUGHT removal would rarely be needed. But it turns out that I need to pull it out and push it back in EVERY TIME before touching the contact point to submit the code, which is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and frustrating, especially because it requires me to slide my MacBook Air all the way to the left until it is hanging off the table in order to get a good grip on the tiny black edges of the key to pull it out and then to push it right back in. Way too much work! Had to buy a different model but pullout still a hassle!

La chiave di sicurezza è perfetta. Piccola, discreta da non dare nell'occhio nemmeno quando viene toccata per farla interagire con il software. Anche lasciandola inserita per il periodo di lavoro, è difficile che qualcuno la noti. È di ultima generazione (FIDO2) per cui applica gli ultimi software di sicurezza ed è ottima come dispositivo per implementare l'autorizzazione 2FA. Quando non viene usata, basta metterla in un portafoglio dotato di cerniera. Prima usavo il modello che si poteva attaccare ad un portachiavi o da sole, ma davano nell'occhio date le loro dimensioni. Per l'utilizzo c'è poco da dire in quanto è semplicissimo: inserisci, tocchi ed è fatta e come suggerito è meglio averne due. Se una di rompe, la perdi o ti rubano il portafoglio è sempre meglio averne due registrate. In questo caso è meglio comprarne subito un'altra e registrarla, in modo da stare il minor tempo possibile con una chiave sola. Che altro c'è da dire? Ottimo prodotto.

This was my first physical security key ever. Bought because, well, everyone gets hacked these days. I got two, of course, to have a backup. It is easy to use and works well. I’ve been very happy with it.The hilarious thing is that the “Windows Hello” security feature on my PC never worked. The built-in fingerprint reader shipped with discontinued software, and Windows always claimed it was dreadfully insecure. I did not buy this key with the intention of resolving that particular problem, and yet, it did exactly that. My PC is now very happy and the “Windows Hello” service works great with the Yubikey.One thing I did learn: it won’t work through a dock. It must go directly into the port on the computer. Otherwise, zero issues and would highly recommend.
