If Everyday Diesel Treatment is like brushing your teeth, Diesel Extreme is like getting an intense deep cleaning. Diesel Extreme treatment is formulated to give your engine a thorough cleaning. It's concentrated enough to tackle internal diesel injector deposits (IDIDs), such as polymeric and waxy deposits. Diesel Extreme boosts your engine's cetane by up to 7 points and reduces the need for DPF regeneration cycles by 50% just by cleaning your cylinders, fuel lines and tanks.
To use Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Extreme, use 1 quart per 80 gallons of diesel fuel. It's recommended that you treat your engine with Diesel Extreme about every 6000 miles you drive. The Diesel Extreme formula is perfectly suited for engines such as the Ford Power Stroke, GM Duramax or Dodge Cummins, as well as for those in Audi, Volkswagen and Saab vehicles.
Everyday Diesel Treatment (EDT) is infused with LX4 Lubricity Extreme to keep your diesel vehicle running smoothly down the road. EDT works with all diesel engines and is perfect for on-road and off-road vehicles alike. By using EDT in your diesel engine, you can improve fuel economy, increase lubricity while dispersing moisture.
To use Everyday Diesel Treatment, just add 1 or 2 ounces to 25 gallons of your diesel fuel. Diesel fuel additives like those in the EDT fuel pack always comply with the federal low sulfur content requirements. EDT is also ideal for use with furnace fuel oil and can encourage trouble-free furnace operation.

Very impressive product!! Many of the reviews are fairly positive and I was skeptical…..First time using diesel additives and the Extreme Diesel liquid very quickly made a difference.First noticeable difference was throttle response, then acceleration, then engine sound, then mpg.My truck is 2021 Duramax with 36k miles. Came across this product as I researched EGR filter and fuel filter options. I’m hoping to conserve my truck for years to come and have learned that soot is a major problem for any diesel. On a quest to clean the whole fuel, air, exhaust process…..For less than $40 this product seems reasonably priced; it is a combo pack and you get the initial extreme treatment and the “everyday” treatment. The claimed benefits are numerous, 7….and I read the ad and the vendor site several times just to sort a make sense of it all. Lots to digest! Excited to see how both products do over the next few months.The cap on the extreme bottle was loose upon arrival but it is sealed under the cap and had a specialized tape around it…no spillage. Also, the extreme bottle has 4oz indicators to measure usage. Has a strong chemical smell. I didn’t use the entire bottle, so I am keeping the rest in a toolbox in the bed.I will update after I go through the initial 40 gallons, takes me a bit since I don’t drive a lot.Update 5/17/25First regen took 560 miles instead of 350…that’s a 60% gain.Second regen is about to start after driving 639 miles instead of 560….that’s another gain, albeit 14% improvement.And, during my most recent highway trip my mpg average shot up as high as 20.5 down to 18.5 then 19.7.I am completely blown away by the improvements due to this product.Other noticeable changes: cold start is faster; engine runs A LOT quieter…so much so that I now know what a “quiet diesel” sounds like. My throttle response is very touchy, in a good way!All real world experiences, no non sense. Just sharing because I thought all of the claims were too good to be true.Update 5/28/25Second regen started at 660 miles, that’s a 17.85% improvement my first regen. I am totally blown away!!!For the first time in 2 years of ownership, my soot load % reached zero and my regen % reached 2%. Never has either metric reached such a low % after a regen.Another objective data point…prior to using this product, my DEF would be right around 50% remaining after 2 regens. Now, it’s slightly more than 60% remaining. 20% per drive cycle instead of 25%; not much but adds up.At this point, I have driven 1,220 miles and only gone through 2 regens instead of 3, saved 35% of def, and my mpg has added some uncalculated monetary benefit.And, to top it all….I still have about half a bottle of EDT and 1/3 of the initial extreme treatment. Been a looooong time since I can verify a sales pitch saying, “it pays for itself.”

I have been using Diesel Power Service, tried this. Not too much of a difference. Also agree with a previous rating, why no easy way to refill the squeeze bottle?? Needs a second opening.

Great product but it seems to be inconsistent as far as how it shows up. The first time I bought it it came as described in the proper bottles with the EDT being in a 16ounce squeeze bottle. The last order I just made they both came in the same kind of bottle that the Extreme comes in. I’m going to try to pour the new EDT into my old squeeze bottle. I did leave feedback for the seller.
Make a longer bottle nozzle. Waste of money
I went to add this to the tank and spilled everywhere. Can you make the bottle nozzle longer?!!Not happy with this, expensive product just to be wasted, feel free to contact me Hotshots company. Not very good design.
Not as advertised!
Product works great, that is the reason for the purchase. But this supplier and description of product states that the EDT is in a 16oz squeeze bottle. Unfortunately it did not come like that. I was going to order the 1 gallon EDT in the future to use in the metered squeeze bottle. I guess that is NOT going to happen now.
