My husband got this to try the Pomodoro Technique. Sometimes it goes off when there's 5 minutes left. Sometimes when there's 2 minutes left. Sometimes it goes into the negative before it goes off. And usually, when it 'goes off', the ticking just gets quieter and quieter and then stops. When you pick it up, there's a little noise that makes you believe that there's a bell in it that's supposed to make a noise, but you only hear it when you pick it up and move it a little next to your ear. I guess you get what you pay for. We don't even plan to return it because it's useless and will just end up in a landfill. Instead it just sort of sits on the table, mocking us. At least it's sort of pretty, and the cats are fascinated by its ticking.

OK - I wanted more than what was advertised. I'm very hard of hearing, so I hoped that when I put the timer on a tin tray it would make enough noise for me to hear.It didn't.So, I must put a hearing aid into one ear to be able to use the timer. For normal people it would be great.

This timer is too much noisy. I grabbed it for doing focused work so when timer is on then attention can given to other task. Continues tik tik is very distracting and that takes more focus than actual task.

No frills. Just good old retro-pomodoro counting. I don't need my shoes tied and mouth wiped like digital ones. Well, at least not usually. ;)

For example, making sure I wind it completely before setting the time. It worked for two months and conked off. It stops with three minutes left - regardless of the time I set.

I thought I know how to use these but I actually didn’t, lol. You have to turn it the other way around before setting it to the right time. Read the manual first if you are unsure. Works.

It ticks, but cannot get the alarm to trigger - the ticking slowly fades out.
