First time using puttanesca on pasta (spaghetti). I added ground beef and some anchovies paste which I purchased here on Bolo. Has a very olives taste. Some might describe it as a bit bitter that's because of the olives. The anchovies paste gives it a bit of umpf. I chose the paste cause of some of the horror in reviews on anchovies. No stomach upset. I used Barilla Angel Hair spaghetti.Well, I reordered this product 26Sep24 and it came in broken. I was going to use a strainer to filter out the broken glass but not a good idea. Not worth having small pieces of broken glass inside the body. So plan B. Regular spaghetti sauce.

I mean, obviously it's not like homemade since it's in a jar. But it's just not tasty. I wouldn't buy it again.

Puttanesca is not normally vegan, but these surprisingly are, but it loses none of the taste. In fact this has more flavor than most pasta sauces and it is not filled with sugar. I hate pasta sauces that are too sweet. Make sure you like olives, as there are plenty in the sauce. The jar came well wrapped in bubble wrap.

Very tasty sauce, perfect consistency and quality ingredients. However would not buy again on Bolo as both glass jars were delivered broken due to packaging in only a padded envelope.
