I still find myself using the unbrush and the tangle teaser more than this brush, but I still think that this brush works for detangling; it just hurts my tender head. I used to use this brush back in the day, and when I found it again, I thought of purchasing it. Seems to be a bit stiffer than the old one. It could be that it's just newer. Again, it gets the job done.

All right. I have to say when I first used this brush I did not get it from Bolo. If you’re here looking at it, buy it!! I got it somewhere else and paid triple the price! OK now to the review I use this brush more than I do a comb! It really does take the tangles out! Also the company claims that it doesn’t take out Hair. I’m not sure what they mean because I am not a beautician, but it does take out some. It doesn’t stop me from using it almost every day. I use it on my dry hair and after I wash my hair. It really does work.

If you're looking for more volume and separation and less of a wet look, I can see how someone could use this however for those with medium and long mixed textured curls/waves👩🦱👨🦱, that are medium to tight or both...this will annoy you (might work for shorter pixie type cuts or men with short hair who also have this texture) while you're trying to detangle your hair by the brush part sliding out, although that's a nice feature for cleaning the brush, whatever you use to condition your hair makes the brush slip out even more and for me there are too many bristles. Yes I think the point is for you to be able to remove some bristles and adjust it to your texture or separate/define your curls/waves or to use for a specific style technique similar (from what I've gathered of it anyway) to the Denman brush (which I was trying this out as a cheaper substitute for to see if that brush style even works for me) but even with hair that keeps a good amount of moisture and isn't too hard to detangle normally (when I keep up with my hair as I'm supposed to anyway) this isn't for me, I want a brush I can grip and that's as quick as possible in detangling w/o getting stuck etc...the wet brush works a lot better for me personally especially if I'm just trying to be quick but this may work for styling your hair in a certain way or if you want more of a fluffy look but you really need to take your time with this brush and section it out, not my thing. I just wanted something that safely and quickly detangles my hair while keeping its moisture and a nice wave/curl but😕...yea...🚫😑 no. It did work as a substitute for a boar bristle brush to slick my pony tail back but other than that 😒for the price it is what it is, a mid plastic brush that requires patience that I no longer possess in doing my hair these days but hey... maybe you do.🤷♀️🤷♂️

It’s affordable, easy to clean, and works great on wet/dry hair. I have super thick wavy/straight hair and it actually gets through most of it. Two of the spokes have come off but I bought this over a year ago and still use it everyday. Since my hair is so thick it does start to come out of the handle (that’s how you clean it) but it’s very easy to push back in.

As someone with extremely difficult dry hair that tangles easily (4b hair) I am telling you this brush is heaven. I have been using it since covid and I tend to need to replace it every year because of the wear and tear but the brush gets the job done with minimal pain for detangling. Every other brush I've ever owned brakes within a few weeks because of the force I need to use to get the brush to go through my thick thick thick hair but this brush does a phenomenal job almost like cutting into a fruit is the best analogy I can think of. Love love love this brush and have been buying it for years
