These are a good dishwasher pod, but I haven't tried all the brands so I don't know if they are the best or whatever. BUT! They are effective, inexpensive (cheaper than the store brand in the store) and they clean the dishes very nicely. Nothing exceptional - they aren't scouring burnt-on grease off for example - but they get the dishes clean and leave glasses without streaks, so that is good. A workmanlike product that does what it says - what more do you want?

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I don’t know what Cascade put in these little lemon-scented pods of sorcery, but my dishes have never been cleaner. I’m talking glasses so clear I’ve walked into them. Plates so shiny I caught my reflection and questioned all my life choices.Before Cascade, I was basically pre-washing everything like a peasant. Scrubbing, soaking, praying. Now? I just toss a pod in, shut the door, and walk away like I’m in a dishwasher commercial living my best, stress-free life.Bonus: they smell like victory and citrusy happiness. Not like old spaghetti water, which used to be my kitchen’s signature scent.If your dishwasher has been phoning it in, these pods will whip it into shape faster than a reality TV makeover. I’m not saying these saved my marriage, but my spouse DID say, “Wow, you’re really good at dishes now,” so… same thing?

Switched back to this brand after residue was remaining in the dishwasher from a previous well known brand. This leaves nothing behind at the end of a dish washing cycle, and dishes are fully cleaned. We're sticking with Cascade in the future.

This dishwashing detergent does an excellent job getting my dishes super clean and sparkling. It cuts through tough grease and stuck-on food with ease, which I really appreciate. That said, it does have a pretty strong chemical smell and feels a bit harsh compared to more natural brands. If you’re sensitive to scents or want something all-natural, this might not be for you. Overall, it’s very effective and affordable, but just be prepared for the strong chemical presence.

I like the pods because they simplify the dishwashing process. These are as effective as any other dishwasher pod that I've ever used. It's difficult to compare different brands and products head-to-head. Keep in mind that the most important thing you can do to improve the cleaning ability of any dishwasher is to run hot water on the adjacent sink until it runs hot -- then start the dishwasher. It's a night and day difference.Anyways, here are all of the advantages I find with the pods over the pour-type liquids:Pre-Measured Convenience: eliminates the need for users to measure detergent for each load. This ensures consistent and accurate detergent usage, preventing overuse or underuse.Reduced Mess and Waste: The individual packaging of dishwasher pods minimizes the risk of spills and mess associated with liquid or powder detergents. I am saving these Cascade Actionpacs for the really dirty, baked on food type saucepans etc.The pods do work well for really dirty items but the chemical perfume smell is so overwhelming, I won’t be buying them again after I use this container up.Why do manufacturers add such a strong perfume ?I can smell these things as soon as I open the cupboard, never mind the container.I wouldn’t use them for cups or mugs as the perfume seems to linger. Don’t want to ingest these chemicals.
