Since I don't use a lot of milk (half gallons tend to go bad in my fridge), but need it for cooking once in a while. When I need milk, I dilute this half-and-half with water, and I've got whole milk ready to use. Plus there's only the one, small, easy to reseal package in my fridge. The shelf life on this is very good. They keep a long time in the pantry, and after opening, they still last longer than fresh milk in the fridge.That's my use case. You may have different reasons for getting this. It won't last as long as powdered milk, so it's not going to replace that in your Apocalypse bunker (you don't have one of those? Oh, never mind), but it is whole milk, so tastes much better than reconstituted powder milk.
