I have several waterers and have to put marbles in them to keep chicks from falling in and drowning. These are he right side, the trough is small enough to keep the chicks from falling in and large enough they all found the water right away. It holds about a quart of water and doesn't get quite so much bedding into the water. The flip side is just right for food, keeping the chicks from kicking it all out of the feeder.

These are great and work as stated. Just be careful of which side of the lid you twist on , as one side of the lid is to be used for food, and the other water. If you use the food side by mistake the water will spill out when you turn the waterer/feeder over to be used. Another thing is they don’t have the cute chick designs on the outside of them like the photos have. The containers just look like empty peanut butter jars.

I really like this water feeder for our chicken Deborah in her pet play pen, now I want to get the water feeder/water fountain ⛲️, when our daughter got the water holder unscrewed I added water tightened it turned it over it filled it just enough n it did not overflowed.

These little feed/waterers are so handy. They work with water or food. I use them to keep my free-range new mommas hydrated. They can be anywhere on the ranch and the new chicks need a drink. So I can plop one down full of water near them and they chicks go to town. They are perfect for my tiny chicks.

This product is well made and works as intended. However I don’t think it took into consideration that small chickens and quails are messy animals, at least my two button quails are. They have no problem eating and drinking from this feeder/waterer (I bought 1 for each purpose), but I would find poop in the water almost daily. The large water tray allowed them to stand in it and drink while poop at the same time. Yuck! I have noticed that there’s less poop in the feeder tray than the waterer tray; perhaps they’re using the waterer tray as a bath, I don’t know. Solid poop in feed is not too bad, at least my button quails have enough sense to eat around it, and like I mentioned there’s a lot less poop in the feeder tray than in the waterer tray. But poop in water is not ok. I had to dump out poopy water, wash out the tray and container, and refill it with fresh water EVERYDAY, rendering its large capacity useless. Originally I had intended to use this large capacity feeder and waterer to sustain my two button quails while I’m gone for up to 2 weeks, but now I’m looking at waterer nipples to supply fresh water. I will continue to use the feeder, but I think using a tray contraption to provide water is a bad idea as I suspect chicks and quails small enough to get in it will use it as a bath and contaminate the drinking water.

This is so much better than those orange ones that fall apart. You can use as a feeder or flip the top than use it for water. Has an twist on twist on method.

It does not hold water well , this is best for food not for water . when you turn it around you loose half of the water.

Great for smaller birds that aren’t babies.

Although, they chicks still manage to peck and throw some of the food out, it's much less than any other feeding system. Since then, we have actually bought a second for water. All our watering systems for the chicks was leaking after a week or so of use, but after about a month of use, this is still holding up. Great for the price. Our chicks are currently 8 weeks old and we have 5, so the size works perfectly for their food / water for the day. We will be using these until we move them to the coop with our grown chickens. Would highly recommend for the price!
They are good but !
Have bought this previously but when ordered again they didn’t ship the part that holds the water . Useless with out it ! Very annoyed and disappointed
Cute versital water /feedrr
It is perfect for small chicks. Can be either water or feeder. Only thing I would have liked better was if it could hang but I modified it to work. Price is excellent for the quality and shipped within 1 day. Would recommend

I like that we could use it for water and feed, both sides work well.I like the high sides of the dish, stops the chicks from getting chips in it (as much) compared to others.I have 5 chicks and I fill it once a day for either water and feed
Water=Yes, Food=No
Cute product, but not ideal for feeding chicks. They continuously threw the feed everywhere - too much room for scratching. I ended up ordering enclosed feeders instead, which have been way less messy.Works fine for water though!!
