5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, reliable

Been using these in a few properties. Great system and they never have connection issues

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to setup and use, with some searching.

    J. · February 2, 2025

I knew of Ubiquity, and there middle of the road pricing. I figured I would try with one access point, and see how it went. I originally used the mobile app, moved to a local web server install, then to the cloud gateway, due to my previous router getting in the way, and not wanting my broadband modem also acting as a router. After doing searches on setup the first few times (mobile app, then PC install), I was up and running. I was happy. After adding in the cloud gateway, and then a second nano, I have great coverage in my home, an app to check on my network connection, and a clear web console for the new gateway router. Would highly recommend Ubiquity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary Product.

Tested without controller, standalone, with included injector, maximum power, upstairs. This is the best piece of network equipment that I have ever tested. I am an IT Manager. I live in a two-story block, cement and concrete house about 1,200 square feet in total.Test 1, Upstairs, 5.0 GHz: Using an iPad watching a movie on Netflix walking through all the bedrooms, rooms, bathrooms, closets, etc. I couldn't get the connection to fail, we're talking about going through three walls, amazing.Test 2, Upstairs, 2.4 GHz: Taking into account that the 5.0 GHz band is more vulnerable to penetrating solid objects than the 2.4 GHz band, this test is superfluous.Test 3, Downstairs, 2.4 GHz: No fault on the whole floor below.Test 4, Outside the house, 2.4 GHz: No failures outside the house, tested up to the neighbor's sidewalk across the street. Alien technology without a doubt. I would give it six stars if I could. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does a fine job, very comperable to the UAP AC-Lite

    A.C. · November 25, 2022

We needed to add another node to a facility with AC-Lite UAPs powered by an older ToughSwitch that does 24/48V PoE. We're migrating assets to our new Cisco BMS network with no 24V provision so it was necessary to spec a device with standard 48V PoE.This UAP is fine. It appear to perform roughly the same as the older AC-Lites, which was actually a touch of disappointment. I was hoping for better signal/range out of it. But it's doing the job just fine with no user complaints and the only real performance issue is coming from IoT devices on its fringe coverage area. These are building sensors, smart switches, managed thermostats and the like, so nothing that's super critical in terms of throughput or latency. If I could do it over again, I'd go for a UAP 6 Pro instead, but it's not worth the hassle of swapping.
