This album covers serious topics while also having fun. Carrie can do anything! Her voice soars in high notes & she gives off Mariah vibes in certain songs. Genre-wise, her voice perfectly suits R&B just as much as country & pop. Her angelic voice brings home the emotion, passion, realism & heart of these songs & this beautiful album as a whole.Many people miss the mark on what songs like the bullet & love wins are about. They’re both actually apolitical, which is confirmed either by the lyrics or songwriters. The bullet is a perspective of loved ones forever affected & love wins is about people loving one another regardless of political views or differences.

I have always been a fan of Carrie Underwood so I wouldn't give a bad review. I have to say though I'm very surprised by this CD. I feel it is different than her others. Lots of ballads and songs about issues facing us today. Also a lot of relationship songs. There were no girl revenge songs like on previous recordings such as Two Black Cadillacs, Before He Cheats, Good Girl etc. I guess after hearing about her losses and healing from surgery she was at a different place in life to change up this recording?Blown Away has always been my favorite song of hers but Love Wins on this CD may take its place. It makes me tear up every time. It is so poignant to what we are facing today. As a Christian it makes me look forward to the day when there is no division and no hate. I hope she makes Ghosts on the Stereo a single. Its good. To me its the most country song on the CD.

Carrie's always good. We were a bit disappointed. Although it was good, it's a slower tempo-- the entire thing. We prefer a mix of upbeat and mellow. Had i known, I probably wouldn't have purchased it.

I never write reviews, but this album is SO GOOD, I had to. It's so rare that I love an entire cd, so I don't buy too many of them anymore. I can honestly say I like/love every song on this one without exception. No need to skip tracks- every song is great and brings something different. I am not a big fan of country music, but have always been a fan of Carrie. I like the pop and blues influences on this album, and the collaboration with Ludacris works very well. There are some heavy topics covered on this album, but I disagree that it sounds political. I think Carrie handles topics like violence, addiction and heartbreak very gracefully. Some very poignant moments on this album, with songs that you can feel in your soul My favorite songs on the album are probably "Drinking Alone" and "Spinning Bottles" but as I said, every song is worth the listen. Carrie is so talented. Very glad I bought this.

I've been a Carrie Underwood fan since the first time I heard "Jesus Take The Wheel". There's not a song she sings that is bad. Not one! Everything she does sounds amazing. I've seen her live, and she sounds every bit as good as the CD, unlike some artists. I've heard others say her concert is the best one they've ever been to.This album is truly remarkable. Some of the songs on this one are just so raw and powerful. The biggest "jam" song is probably "Southbound". Carrie knows how to slow it down and take it easy, but she can also nail the powerhouse songs. This album is no exception.This is an obvious MUST for any Carrie fan. It tends to lean a little more on the pop side overall than her usual work, and I normally don't care much for that, but it doesn't bother me on this album. That's how good it is. Buy your copy or two or ten today!

1月28日にWOWOWで放送されたアメリカンアイドルTOP5を見ました。この番組3、4年前に一旦終了したのですが FOXからABCに変わって去年復活しました。この日は去年の母の日に放送された、ゲストに優勝者であるキャリー・アンダーウッドを迎えての放送です。キャリーが挑戦者を指導して、挑戦者はキャリーの歌を歌って競いました。そしてキャリーは新譜からcry prettyを歌いました。この新譜、評価は今ひとつですがキャリーの熱唱は感動的でした。彼女、数年前に顔面に40針程度の大怪我を負いましたが元気に復活してなによりです。
