Trust me, I have tried just about everything out there. This works. It doesn't get smooshed in my bag; it is no flimsy paper, the spirals on top prevent it from catching on everything like normal spirals do, I do not waste the top 2 inches of the back side, and I rarely rip it out until I am ready to use it and even have tabs or paperclips all over to mark my essential notes. It is more money, but it is a better product.

I used these all through college and since then for taking notes and journaling. The solid back means that you don't need a table. The double sided lined paper, which is high quality paper, means that I can fill the notebook one direction, then flip it over and fill it the other way. The lines are the perfect distance apart for my writing style. The manufacturer did its research as to what is needed to satisfy all of your writing needs. I don't have any financial interest in this company. I just love good design.

I got these to have so I could take notes during work meetings, but now I'm going to have to bring them to D&D games as well. The backs are incredibly sturdy if you need to prop them against something, and the paper is great quality.

I like the heavy (24-pound) weight of the paper, which allows me to write on both sides with a fountain pen without any bleed-through. The thick cardboard back to the pad and the coil at the top (rather than the side) make it convenient to write on both sides with good support. I find the rather narrow "college rule" suitable for my style and would hate a wider ruling.It's getting harder to find these options in stationery stores, so I'm glad still to find this item on Bolo.
