Easy to use, self diagnoses any issues. My 2nd one the first one started doing weird things after 20 years...MAKE SURE TO GET A FACTORY ADAPTER CABLE for $12 to plug n play if you have a truck that is pre-wired for a controller. It makes it much easier. BTW, the truck plug for my daughters Chevy had blue, red, white and black, and the Teconsha had the same color wires. You guessed it they do not match, they have different purposes, WHY I recommend the Teconsha factory plug n play harness it makes it so much easier.

We had just got a used travel trailer and went on the road for a year traveling to every state. We have an older Toyota tundra and didn’t have the automatic connection to the trailer to use its brakes. Was an easy install and worked immediately, did have to watch a YouTube video but was able to get it done in one try!

Seems to work as it should. Easy enough to install, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

I had an Echo wireless brake controller that I constantly had issue with. I was apprehensive but out of options so I bought this and it has worked great. Just for reference, I have a Coleman 17B and the Echo kept locking up the breaks. This unit hasn’t done that once.

I bought this for my dodge truck to upgrade the one that was in it. I tow a 40 ft 12,000 pound 5th wheel with 2 axles. This works great. I needed to stop on some steep hills locally and this got the job done. It's easy to set up and it's easy to fine tune based on your needs. I haven't found the sweet spot yet, but that's my fault not the controller.I had originally bought a different brand and installed it a few days before ordering the prodigy and when I pushed the button to test it out, it literally smoked itself. As in smoke came out of the controller. I double checked the wiring, (I am a professional mechanic and have installed hundreds of brake controllers) and after I determined it was the unit and not my work I immediately ordered the prodigy. So if you want a no headache brake controller, spend the extra few dollars and get one of these.

I've got a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a tow package, connect it to plug and play wiring. it works great! been using it for a month with no problem.
Excellent Product
These are the only controllers i will buy for my pulling trucks. Don't waste your time or money on the cheaper ones. An improvement could be made with truck model wiring and adapters that are required.Each package should include the proper harness and labelled as such for each truck model. It's not that hard.
