The media could not be loaded. Ordered this for weeding vinyl. I needed a solution to be able to actually see what I'm doing. Lighting from above just wasn't enough. The suggestions of a pounce bag is an option but a messy one. So I ordered this and I'm glad I did! It's a thin lightweight pad but sturdy so not cheap. It uses a micro USB power cord on the side. What I love about it is that you adjust your brightness level. You just touch the button and hold down to go up. Remove your finger from the button then touch again and hold down to go down. There arent any magnets that i can see. There's also a centimeter ruler on the top and side of the pad. The lit area is 12x9". This would work great for tracing, color by number and even diamond painting. Its fun and easy to use. I'd recommend it!

Well I should have read the description better when I bought this. A coworker of mine had one and it was rechargeable so I assumed they all was. This one requires it to be plugged up.That was my fault. However this is great and very bright! It works very well and even through thicker paper. My daughter loves it! The surface is large and lightweight and very thin.

I have now used this for diamond painting and weeding HTV cut on my Cricut. It works in both contexts, but the biggest value-add is the vinyl weeding.I will also eventually use this for tracing, and there's no doubt it will work nicely.The light level can be adjusted and is nicely diffuse. It's not too bright to look at, and does illuminate your work area.All things being equal I prefer overhead lighting to back lighting for diamond painting. Backlight obscures colors quite a lot compared to the alternative. But I will continue to use this from time to time.The cord it ships with is about 5 feet long. There is no battery, it is plug-in only. It's Micro USB on the end that connects to the tracing pad. I would have to buy a much longer cord if I didn't happen to have a USB power bank available. It would never reach as far as the nearest wall outlet when I'm in my easy chair with my craft project on my lap.I do find that I routinely hit the power button with the side of my hand when using the tracing pad. This gets annoying, but it's not the end of the world. Depending on how far you are from your power source you could rotate the pad to prevent it from happening. The power button is a little wonky as it controls not just on-off but brightness via long-press. This is easier to do by accident than intent.All that said, the problems are pretty minor compared to the price. I would recommend as a good, low cost option.

It’s definitely worth the 20 dollars I spent on it. Way brighter than I thought it was gonna be. The only issue I have with it is the placement of the power jack. I understand it is a super slim item, but I wish the jack itself was a little better thought out. It can tend to slightly pull out of the plug port. They did design it with an L shaped power jack plug that plugs in from a side angle which is better than it coming strait out, but even that sideways jack can still be somewhat of an annoyance if you are moving the light board around while working...One thing to note, I have noticed that the light board can turn itself on sometimes by itself. It has never shut off on me while using it, but it has turned itself on randomly. Not sure if this is just an issue with mine specifically, or it’s a design flaw in the circuitry. But definitely something to keep your eye on if you keep yours plugged in at all times. Unplugging it when not in use would probably be the best bet for that issue. Other than that, it has been a nice item to use and I would definitely suggest trying it out.

I do different things with graphics, and one of those is working up line graphics on the computer and then transferring them for use with other media. I've been using all sorts of workarounds, usually coloring the back side of a printout with pencil and tracing the print side with pen. No longer!I had seen lower-priced and comparably-priced tracing surfaces that were not adjustable, and similar adjustable ones that were more expensive and a bit beyond my budget. THEN, this one popped up in a recent "Bolo Deals" listing, and it had good reviews and looked exactly like the type I'd hoped to get, so I jumped on it, and I'm glad I did.This widget is unbelievably lightweight, especially remembering how cumbersome and *hot* lightboxes were "back in the old days". The principle of this tracer isn't complex in itself, but the nice part of this item is that the *design* and the *function* - basically, the way the principle is applied - is very good; the "small details" add up to improve the function. The black border keeps too much "stray" light from causing distraction at the edges of your work; the ruler is convenient; the sliding light-adjustment works pretty well and is done so that the surface remains smooth, no buttons to get caught on anything, while letting the light level be adjusted to suit the work - less light for tracing with thin paper, brighter for tracing with heavier paper.Regarding the power source, it does not come with an adapter because it's designed to plug into the computer's USB port. I personally prefer to run things off of their own separate USB wall chargers rather than plugging them into the laptop's USB port so that the connections don't get loose and "wiggly" from being plugged and unplugged over and over, plus I prefer to use one that is capable of providing at least 2 Amps just to ensure that the equipment I'm running can get all the power it needs to avoid any flickering or interruptions or whatnot. I personally reserve the laptop's USB ports for removable drives that need to communicate with the computer. ANYWAY, I mention all of that only because there was a question or two regarding whether an adapter was included.

I found this to be a very nice, high quality light board. I found no real instructions in the box, I thought it was a rechargeable board, when I realized it wasn't I returned it. it was inconvenient for me to plug this in where I would be working on diamond painting. Many have ordered these items for diamond painting. It was very well packaged so no damage would happen to it in shipping, also shipped in a box. I highly recommend this. I dropped this off at the post office this afternoon and have already received a refund. Great customer service!
