I've been home-dyeing it red (warm red since 1998, before finally finding my perfect cool red just four years ago) Within 4 months of going cool (And LOVING it!) the grays started coming in (Of course...). Within a year it was like stray-gray whack-a-mole. After I retired I decided to stop with the red since I no longer had to consider co-workers asking "So... What's up with your hair?" I realized, though I may never have all-over gray, silver or white like I hope, I just didn't have the energy to fight anymore. So, like Elsa, I just let it go.*My hair length is midway down my back but needs about 4-5" cut off (I let it go, alright!). From the root to about 2/5 down it's silver over light brown with white taking over around my face and nape. I still have 3/5 length from the bottom-up that's faded cool red to let grow out and trim off before I can make any concrete decisions about what to do with whatever remains.* My hair is naturally wavy but it goes frizzy/straight when blown dry. So, I've had "problem texture" all my life. I have a lot of hair but I also have the kind of texture that makes it seem like even more when blown dry (Poof City). Meanwhile, my hair STRANDS are each thinner than cobweb filament. If I let my hair down, the slightest breeze creates chaos, with hair in my eyes and mouth - So I NEVER wear it down. And decades of dyeing equals decades of damage, I can't recall ever having shine or smooth hair, naturally, even before I colored my hair. I used to fall for every hair product gimmick. NOTHING made my hair look any different once it was blown dry.Until now.I ordered this wet/dry plastic bristle brush on a whim when ordering other stuff I needed. I expected nothing from my impulse buy (reviews were so positive... yeah, yeah...yawn). It was a month before I got it - but it wasn't like I was over here panting with expectation so, imagine my shock when I got this ordinary-looking tool, went to use IT on my just-washed hair, and had an incredible experience. I've used it on my wet hair four times, so far. But this is what I've experienced from each use:* Working from the tips to scalp, untangling all of my hair took SECONDS and was so EASY,* Compared to the comb, my bathroom sink had no broken off hair bits that I could see - and only a few naturally shed strands, post comb-thru. I really couldn't believe that. Still can't,* After drying my hair, I don't know how, but the texture is smoother and the overall appearance is MUCH shinier, even the grays!* The brush DOES seem to make my hair less POOFY and after I remove my chignon scrunchy my hair IS a bit flatter - BUT the overall effect is hair that's far more controlled than chaotic, and the curls and waves are surprisingly... glam, without effort.Literally NOTHING else about my hair care has changed. I'm using the same budget shampoo/conditioner (brand/formula/cost, has never made any difference) 6 days a week and violet shampoo/mask (to brighten the look of my incoming grays) on day 7. All that's changed is the switch from comb to THIS BRUSH. Every time I let my hair down in front of the mirror I think, 'How can this brush do all this?' It just doesn't LOOK like anything special.I highly recommend this brush for anyone - but especially people who use any chemical treatments, battle frizz, have long hair, damage, or wiry grays. THIS BRUSH surprised me. It might surprise you, too.

This brush works wonderfully on my long, wavy hair. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it, so I need a brush that gets through my hair when brushing from the underneath (which I do after brushing sections of my hair from the outside, ends to scalp), then again on the outside from scalp down to ends. After getting tired of the buildup and clumps of hair left in my old Revlon brush with the little balls on the ends of each tip, I tried the Crave brush. It didn't pull as much hair out (but there was always hair left in the Crave) but couldn't go through the length of my hair from the underneath. It also didn't do much for invigorating my scalp because it basically only reaches the outermost layer of hair.So, I took a chance on the Tangle Teezer and am so glad I did! It does exactly what I want a brush to do without pulling or tearing out hairs. I brush my hair several times a day because I wear it down and it gets windblown when I'm outside. The Tangle Teezer has been a blessing. It gets through my hair, leaving it soft, smooth, and shiny.See photos. First photo was taken right after brushing with the Tangle Teezer. The next two are of the brush (also taken right after using) showing that there are no hairs left behind. They're all still on my head!

I already had a detangling brush, but it wasn't working that great -- I felt like no matter how hard I brushed my hair, the brush seemed to skim over the surface of my hair and didn't do a thorough job of getting the tangles out. I saw this Tangle Teezer and decided to see if it was any better. The answer is YES.It wasn't until I compared the brushes side by side that I saw why Tangle Teezer reaches deep into my thick hair and goes all the way to the scalp to smooth out the tangles. It's because even though it is smaller than my old brush, it has twice as many of the long "flex teeth" that reach deep into your hair. My old brush only has only four long rows; the Tangle Teezer has nine long rows.Bravo, Tangle Teezer -- this one costs a little extra but it is worth it.A side note about the aesthetic appeal -- I got the "rosebud" shade and it is a fun, raspberry pink. The front side is matte and the back side is glossy which gives it a more luxe vibe, if that sort of thing matters to you. This is a great little everyday brush and I recommend it!

I love my wet brush and I used it for a long time until the handle broke (and even after), but there was one “issue” with it —and others like it— which the Tangle Teezer does not have: The bulbs at the end of the bristle. When the white lint(?) gets caught up at the base of the bristles, the bulb makes removing them very difficult. Without the bulb, I expect this will be much easier. It would be nice if there were gaps between the rows of bristles for making hair removal easier, but you win some, you lose some. I have had no issues with it so far and look forward to using it for a long time to come. At $15 per, this better be long lasting 🙂. It is a good size and works for my wavy, frizz-prone hair.

This works well on my toddlers thick hair. It does not seem to hurt her or pull her hair. I have used it on her wet and dry hair and it works well on both. Bristles were not as heavy duty as I anticipated but it still works better than her wet brush.

My holy grail brush! Pls never change the quality on this brush!
I cannot live without this brush. I went years destroying my hair and ripping tufts out, with incorrect brushes. I thought I was cursed. My hair even after brushing tangles onto itself.This, along with Living Proof Leave In Conditioner, and rice bar shampoo has changed my life.I nearly shaved my head once from nesting. I always get in the same spots behind my head. After a friend came to the rescue, she sent me a box from the USA with rice shampoo bar, brushes, Shea Shampoo with Castor oil and conditioners. I was in tears from how well they worked except her brushes.I found this brush on Bolo and purchased after a similar brush made locally in Quebec, failed me. But this brush was key to detangling my most hopeless nesting. Its the best one. The shape and stiffness of bristles is key. They are soft yet strong enough to detangle tge most stubborn knots.I went from a 2-4 hr ordeal to 15-20 minutes with this brush on lower back long hair. I have very long hair now and its so healthy.If the price was better in Canada, I would buy a mini one for my bag and 4 more.I clean it using a nail brush until its visibly clean, and then gently clean with liquid soap or shampoo and dry it, bristle down on a towel. I am careful with it.I have an older one to use with product in my hair, and this new one to use on clean dry hair.Clean your brush. You are only spreading grease, product or dirt onto your hair if you do not.

I have been using Tangle Teezer brushes for as long as I can remember. I originally used the detangler without a handle for almost 14 years, until I decided to buy the one with the handle because I have really thick curly hair and many times I have experienced detangling my hair, the brush getting stuck on a knot and flying out of my hands 😭 I also loved the baby pink colour. Now that I have this one, I’m never going back - while this is perfect for detangling (which I only do in the shower now - curly girl tip!) I have found that this brush works best for styling for me personally. I’ve tried the Denman, I’ve tried that flex brush, but I always go back to my trusty Tangle Teezer - it separates my curls so perfectly and makes them look so smooth and pretty! Get this if you have thick curly hair, it’s so worth it as it’s so versatile!!
