I love this and get compliments all the time! It definitely has a glitter/shimmer effect so if you are looking for a matte, this is likely not for you as there are a few colors with the shimmer

I have been buying the Urban Decay 'Nakeds' eye shadow for the past few years in a similar color palette. This is just as good and less than a third of the price. I'll definitely stick with this! It's just as pigmented, believe it or not! And has twice as many colors. Works great! Looks great!

the only reason I took off one star is because two colors were broken on arrival. Other than that I love love this pack of colors. They have a great shimmer, not too much, but enough. It has not bother my eyes, and a lot of eye shadow does bother my eyes. So annoying. The colors are great, they blend well and they stay on all day. Usually by afternoon I walk past the mirror and scare myself because all my make up has seemed to disappear. The eye shadow has not done that yet. I love it, now if I could just find some lip gloss with a nice shimmer that does not bother my lips I will be happy.
