I simply insert one of a number of different sized memory cards (CF, SD or TF), open up the PHOTOS app and then copy selected pictures to the card. I will be more specific with the process in a moment.One thing you do need to realize is that iOS 13 seems to have locked some options. First of all, as the product description does state, the PHOTOS app will not automatically open upon inserting the card reader. That process stopped after iOS 12.It does support Two-way Transfer on iOS 13. I have included a photo to show you how it is done:Click 'Files' APP, find 'On My iPhone', long press a file, choose 'Move' and find the location of SD/TF/CF card, then transfer the file from iPhone to SD/TF/CF card (support files in Most formats).This is a really compact reader that is of exceptional build quality. I even took a good look at the lightning cable connector to see if it will stand up to the rigorous task of connecting/disconnecting and it appears that the plug is solid.Transfers from phone to memory card were pretty fast. I only had a SD card on hand, but upon selecting about two dozen photos from my iPhone library, I simply click on the share button -> save to files -> name of memory card. Due to the bulk of hi-res photos I selected, the transfer wasn't instantaneous, but they successfully transferred in about 20 seconds.I can then take the card out and view photos on another device, or even use it as storage for more photos I wish to safeguard.Best of all, there is no additional software needed. This is a simple plug and transfer device that works exceptionally well.Highly recommended!

This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I can load photos from my Canon 60d directly from the card to my phone with this! I just drop it in my little cross body! It’s so small and perfect.

I have an old Nikon D3 and there is no wireless transfer with my compact flash. I purchased this with a lot of hesitation because some of the reviews said it didn't work. Well, this thing works really well and is probably one of the best photography purchases I've made. It is only $23 and it has made my life so much easier for transfer. Sometimes when I'm on the go, I skip lightroom and do a direct transfer to see how the image comes out when blown up. It is really fast. I also have a newer Nikon camera that does wireless transfer. The native wireless transfer is really slow. This is lightening fast and now I don't even use the wireless transfer anymore. It transfers in raw file and no compression whatsoever. I'm pretty delighted with this purchase. All the other workaround..tethering, wireless adapter, and all the other methods are tedious and expensive. This is the best solution yet.

I was a bit disappointed with this item due to it's slow speed. I originally bought this to be able to look through memory cards full of photos from a digital camera, but takes far too long to load each picture to be viable. It's useful if you know which pictures you want to extract, but even loading a screen of 9 thumbnail previews takes several seconds to load. So if you're going through hundreds of photos, this is not the ideal method.I'm using an iPhone SE2 with a 256GB SanDisk memory card. When I try to load pictures from my Fujifilm X100V camera, with each picture being 12-15mb in size, it takes a considerable amount of time to load each picture and even their thumbnails as mentioned before.

I will possibly never do serious photography (which is 99% of the times) with a Smart Phone. The SLR and the glass lens is my thing and forever will be. I was looking for a solution that enables me to take pictures on my SLR and beam them instantly to family and friends. For many years I have had to get back to a hotel or home and connect to my Laptop download photos and then send them to friends via instant messages or emails or shared drive links. This is frustrating when you just want to send a few great photos that you captured. This product fits this use case perfectly. It works without any battery and is a joyful plug and play. I mostly use CF cards and it's as simple as insert the card into this reader, insert lighting connector to iPhone , go to Photos App and import ALL or SELECTED photos. Thats it ! Truly a great product. I am hoping its reliable and lasts for a long time.

This does NOT download items from iPhone or iPad to a card. It only works the other direction of copying items from a digital camera to the iPad or iPhone. Additionally, the digital camera or device MUST have a DCIM folder for photos to work properly. If taking photos from your camera and transferring them to your iPhone or iPad is all you want to do, this device is perfect.This also does not work with Android phone or tablets so if you are an Apple user then you're in luck.

This is a really neat product and has saved me so much time. I can take pictures and easily upload them to my phone now. On the down side, it will only make a connection if I take my phone case off. Not a big deal but that is the reason I gave it 4 stars. Plus while it’s loading just lay your phone flat on something. If you wiggle the cord in anyway it won’t have a good connection. Other than that, it loads quickly. I’m still pleased with it and am glad that I bought it.

I got this to replace a much more expensive multi one that had bent contact pins on the Compactflash section which I only discovered too late after transferring all my SD cards. Paying more for an item doesn't guarantee better quality - it just means you're simply paying more! THIS Reader,though, Works Perfectly & is nice & Quick,too. It feels well made & robust & works correctly with my 2021 I pad & both my i phone 6 (for backup) & my i phone 8. It also works with my wife's i phone 14 & I think it's good value at only £12.
