The iFixit kit, oh man do I love this thing. It's has such amazing quality. The kit itself is great for everyday use and has everything the average user would normally need and more just in case. Now to boot, the positives. The case holding all the screwdriver and bits has really strong magnets, even though it doesn't feel like it. I'm able to grab the lid, close it and pick up the entire case, just by holding the lid and while the entire thing is by no means heavy, it's definitely not light. Speaking of the lid, it also doubles as a tray to hold and separate screws. The screwdriver itself is a 1/4 aluminum handle screwdriver with magnetic bit sockets. The magnet is strong and works 100% of the time compared to a fair bit of other screwdrivers i've used that claimed to have strong magnetic only go lose that power over a few days. The screwdriver handle itself has a good bit of weight to it and is really smooth to use. The butt of the screwdrive rotates for ease of use and is excessively smooth and so far hasn't jamed or anything on me which is a major plus, no more needing to turn your entire wrist when using this screw driver. The aluminum body on the driver provides excellent grip, allowing you to apply more force without a chance of your hand slipping. Since the driver itself is made of aluminum it is very sturdy and with the weight of it, if you really needed to you can use it as a substitute hammer too but i wouldn't recommend doing so.Now onto the negatives which is surprisingly few. The first one, might honestly be just my set but the driver bits, like most come from what i can assume greased. That in itself is perfectly fine but for my set, it seems the grease has dried up and became really sticky, which can easily be cleaned and dealt with but still a negative nonetheless. The second one to me isn't really a con but for some it might be, and that is that this is not a torque screwdriver. No clicking of extra torque for those tougher screws but i honestly don't think this driver needs it, the textured aluminum body gives you a strong grip on the driver. Now this was in the positive but can also be taken as a negative and that is weight. The driver isn't excessive heefy but is still fairly heavy.Overall would I buy it again? Most definitely not that i'll have to with the quality of the product and not to mention iFixits lifetime warranty on it's product.Would you recommend the product? Yes, yes, yes, i can't say that enough, if you work with computers or use a screwdriver daily or often enough, this set is perfect for you and all your needs.This will end my review for the iFixit Mahi, buy it if you want a great screwdriver, that provides a great case, amazing build quality and a lifetime warranty. If you're in the market for a screwdriver you're uncertain which one to get, theb i recommend grabbing the iFixit Mahi.

So I was recently looking for some tools to take apart my laptop to replace the crappy thermal paste, unfortunately all my tools were too big for the job. So I picked up the Pro Tech Toolkit, which I am extremely please with it made cracking into the laptop a breeze. But all the bits in that set are for small "precision" work, and I was looking for a great follow on to that only for the larger screws in desktops and elsewhere. That's when I happened upon this Mahi kit.The driver handle is nice and heavy and solid, and feels extremely well made. It spins perfectly and is probably one of the best weighted screwdriver handles I've ever had. This kit includes (at least for me) the missing bits from the Pro Tech kit, with plenty of larger bits capable of general non-precision work. In addition it's magnetic so it makes getting those hard to reach screws in and out a lot easier, which was another consideration for me. If you own the iFixIt Pro Tech kit and are looking to round it out for general computer use, or are just looking for a great all around larger bit kit that's well made. I highly recommend this.

I like the price and quality of the tool. The handle feels great in the hand and has a good weight to it, which gives me confidence in the tool. The bits are of a good quality, and the variety allows for you to drive just about any kind of screw. Smaller screws, such as those on glasses or phones, aren't really what this set is made for. However, medium to large screws are. I definitely recommend this set to take on the go or to leave in the workshop/house. I also support the right to repair movement they have a large part in spearheading.

This is an impressive and well built kit that just reeks of high quality. It's expensive, but worth it. You can see and feel the difference between this kit and cheaper ones. This one is built to last.

First things first, Ifixit makes great tools, and is a great company that's worthy of your support...so buy this driver kit if you support the right to repair, the extra overhead is worth it to keep ifixit in business.With that out of the way, the Mahi kit has a much more "standard" set of bits that the average person would likely use in day to day repairs. Unlike their other kits, I wouldn't consider this to be purely for electronics repair. The driver itself is weighty, feels great, and is made of metal, it just feels good to hold. The bits seem to be of high quality, and snap magnetically into the driver, however, any good kit does the same thing.The one downside is that unlike their other driver kits, the driver doesn't seem to transfer any magnetism to the bit, and as such, it doesn't hold screws in place which saved my bacon many times when building PCs, so I had to pony up a few extra bucks for a magnetizer (which is honestly a pain in the butt).With that in mind, if you just want a good, solid, daily driver (pun intended), you can't go wrong with this kit, it's just not quite as special as their other offerings.

If you're thinking of getting it then let me help by saying just do it. I was on the fence about getting this and have not regretted at all in this purchase. I love this piece of kit soo much that it now has earned a place in my daily carry bag. Its size is perfect and all the bits i could need or have a need for when working with PC's or electronics. Quality and craftsmanship is solid and you will not be disappointed. Im even thinking of getting the larger kit to keep at home on my workbench i wont dive into details and say just get it because you will be very satisfied with it. Unlike many other kits that feel and look cheap this kit will not giv eyou that impression

Un set veramente completo con punte triangolari e a taglio interrotto in centro, il sistema di impugnatura è comodissimo e la rotazione è facilitata dai cuscinetti di scorrimento.Il coperchio si chiude con dei piccoli magneti ed è molto comodo per contenere le viti che smonti.Well done!

Ich habe mir das Mahi Bit Set von Ifixit, als Ergänzung zum Pro Tech Toolkit gekauft, welches ja schon ein Bit Set mit feinen Bits (für Handy, Laptop, PC usw.)das Mahi Bit Set ist die perfekte ergänzung dazu.Die Qualität und Verarbeitung sind wie schon beim Pro Tech Toolkit extrem gut und hochwertig, einziger Kritik punkt: Der Driver/Bithalter ist leider nicht magnetisch.allgemein aber ein mehr als gutes Set und sehr zu Empfehlen!
