I never considered that DEF has a shelf life. It does, and heat shortens the life. I had a DEF pump go out after filling up with DEF from this order. The dealer initially thought the DEF was bad (contaminated or too old). Happily, it was the pump. However, using a refractometer the DEF was found to be slightly our of spec at 30.6 (32.5 is spec).Be prepared to use this DEF quickly, or get a refractometer to test each jug before pouring into your DEF tank. From my experience, testing the DEF is probably a good practice regardless of where you buy your DEF.
