I've used this product for 3 years now and I never get bit unless I am lazy about putting it on and miss a spot. Three days ago I was horrified to discover I had 3 mosquito bites and I hadn't been outside! Then I saw something hovering near by. It was in the house! I immediately ran to my Sawyers to prevent more bites. I tried to find the mosquito but this one was clever. I was worried about going to sleep with a vampire in the house, so I made sure to put my Sawyers on all exposed skin and hoped for the best when I went to sleep. I awoke with no bites! It took me 3 days to find that mosquito! Imagine being trapped in a room with a big mosquito for 72 hours like a sitting duck!I am happy to report I survived and escaped with no more bites. Sawyers really works. I've used the spray and lotion. It doesn't itch or irritate my skin, it smells a little like pepper when I first put it on, but then it's odorless. I only need to apply it once a day. I think the lotion has the best coverage but the spray is nice for spraying hard to reach places. I take this everywhere, work, weekends, travel. I miss the individual travel packets. I haven't been able to find those. I hope they come back. Good stuff!

Found this at a brick & mortar store years ago. It’s been my go to since then, repelling almost everything but the annoying black biting flies we experience where I live and since I’m a biting insect magnet, that was a blessing. And until my most recent order(this past spring), I’d gotten every bit of the stated 14hrs of coverage out of it, even through sweating buckets. Suddenly this last order I’m lucky to get 4-5 hrs before I need to reapply. And the insects repelled isn’t as great as it used to be. This is incredibly sad because this product suited me perfectly .. no greasy or slimey feeling after application, no strong smells.Ahh well, back to trial & error, the cost doesn’t justify a subpar product.

I took this with me to Sri Lanka and there were bugs around me almost constantly, I didn’t have one single bite in 5 days of living in extreme natural conditions around tea plants. I even found a honey bee in my room that didn’t bite me because I always had the repellent sprayed on me at all times. The spray is oil based however it absorbs in the skin pretty quickly - plus for those who have dry skin. Additionally, I couldn’t smell it on me although I was wearing it at all times. 100% recommended
