delicious, a little sour

I have bought these pork rinds/chicharrones hundreds of times from truck stops I stop by. The problem is they are always sold out. I figured I would just buy a case instead. I am glad I didn’t buy 2 or three cases at first. I have opened two different bags since receiving a case of the hot and spicy. The first bag was stale and had so much spice on it I could not eat it. The second bag was also stale with no crunch. The other problem with the second bag was it had absolutely no seasoning on it either. Not a speck. Not sure what is going on with this company, but the quality control sucks. It’s been pretty consistent buying in the stores, but the first case I bought is horrible!

So I have been on a quest to find the best tasting cracklins on the market specifically to find this exact same brand. Let me explain. I use to be able to find a bag of cracklins that tasted like this (spicy but not fire 🔥 hot and this crunchy but not break your teeth crunchy) at the Family Dollar Store for $1 per bag. The only thing is that the bag was clear and for the life of me I couldn’t remember the name. Ugh. So I go to Bolo to see if I can find the clear bag cracklins but couldn’t find them. So I spent lots of money and tried different brands like Epic, Southern Fried and El Sabroso and although they were ok (Southern Fried was the best in terms of pricing and taste) they weren’t the flavor or texture that I was looking for. I was frustrated and decided to try one more brand before getting in my car and searching every Family Dollar store in my state. Lol. Who would have thought that Turtle Creek was the brand I was looking for all this time. 😍😍😍The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I shop on Bolo to get the best price and on Bolo they sell for double of what they sell in the store. Otherwise I’m in pig 🐷 heaven. Lol
