The grip and weight of this tool are great. The removable basket is helpful for ease of cleaning, and I love that the whole thing is dishwasher safe. Sometimes garlic does leak out the top or get stuck in a paper-thin layer inside the basket, but even with those little issues it is so much faster than mincing the garlic by hand - and no more smelly fingers afterward!

Worked great, but if a family member is a little less cautious and doesn't place the removable grater in the right way (easy to mess up unfortunately), the closing action will bend the head out of whack and render it very difficult to bend back.

I love Kitchen Aid products…this one is constructed well but the design is not my favorite. The removable metal basket where the garlic goes is small so larger chunks of garlic won’t fit in; there’s a lot of wasted space because the basket is supposed to be removed. Also, the basket moves most of the time when you open the device. Sometime when you put it back, it’s placed backwards which makes it not close properly. This part is user error but the issue is, it should t be part of the process. Now I know why this device was so inexpensive.

I love Kitchen Aid products…this one is constructed well but the design is not my favorite.
