Let me just start by acknowledging that this is NOT a gaming mouse. It is gaming-inspired, but not suitable for gaming at all. The main reason for this distinction comes down to the overall functionality of the mouse. While the d-pad on the side is decent for Page Up/Down, and Forward/Back navigation, the issue comes down to the buttons. They work for a video game controller but are very hit-and-miss when you're used to a typical mouse. It also feels a little off for those with shorter fingers, as the design doesn't feel comfortable at all.To add insult to injury, the touch panel scroll wheel seems like a novel concept, until you realize that you can not tap the area as a middle button. There isn't any middle mouse button at all, which cuts into the overall functionality of the mouse. While it may not be seen as a major issue, it is becoming more and more utilized by various programs. This wouldn't be much of a problem if there was a way to remap one of the d-pad buttons, but that does not seem to be the case.This is quite the oversight, as 8bitdo creates quality controllers and peripherals that often feature additional functionality and customizability in some way. Hopefully, they'll look into how to improve the feel and the functionality of the mouse, as it would be nice to use alongside their retro keyboard.

This is by far the best mouse I've ever used for anywhere near this price point. Let me tackle a few key points.A lot of other reviews say the buttons are small and awkward, and while that is true, it only bothered me for a minute or two. After that, I barely even noticed they were different. BUT, since the buttons are smaller and don't wrap over the front like most mice, I have significantly less accidental clicks, and don't get accidental clicks from just bumping things.I don't see this mentioned anywhere in the description, but this is a "use anywhere" mouse. I was using it on a pillow with a very rough texture and it was still tracking perfectly. Not as precise as my dark field primary mouse obviously, but that's a $100+ mouse.The touch pad between the buttons works well in place of the mouse wheel. It definitely feels different, but like the buttons, it didn't take long for me to adjust. Also, the up and down buttons on the d pad on the side are page up and page down, so they make scrolling through web pages easy. I haven't tried anything that needed the Mouse 3 button, so I don't know if it has that functionality.I don't think I would recommend this as a primary mouse unless it's all you can afford. But between the use-anywhere capability, lack of accidental clicks, light weight, properly having a slot for the USB receiver inside the battery compartment, and freaking cool factor, this is a perfect travel mouse. And like I said at the beginning, by FAR the best mouse I've seen at this price point.

Adorable, this is our spare mouse for the tv so it doesnt get much use other then scrolling youtube and netflix which it does fine. the touch scrolling is a little jumpy compared to a wheel but nothing unusable.

8Bitdo if you read this - I think this is an incredible first step.Is it perffect? Nah not all. Definitely room to grow and I hope this isn't a one time thing (I personally would love to see an SNES inspired version).Plain and simple this is a fun nostalgic mouse meant to be an everyday consumer fun doodad trinket to have. If you have HIGH expectations for the mouse and it's capabilities you will be disappointed.When I saw this I was stoked! There is so much potential for them to do this and do it even better! Could you imagine if they went with a PMW3330 or 3360 sensor? Added a start and select button for DPI and Profiles? Maybe even made an 8Bit - 8Bitdo UI where you could change polling rates to 1k? - Assign macros? What I see is potential for bringing jam up nostalgia like 8Bitdo always does - to a slightly different market.The capacitive scroll wheel is an excellent idea but it falls a little short in practical use. Often it misses and doesn't register the scroll - but more often it over or under scrolls.The hard edge design to keep with the feel of the NES controller is at times not very comfortable - but worth it.I won't mark it less than 5 because they need all the kudos and props to keep this journey up. DO IT 8Bitdo!

It is a novelty, and after 5 minutes of use, I cannot use it anymore - I had to switch back to my old mouse.Issues are:- For some reason, this mouse is not the same color as the 8bitdo retro keyboard / numpad. They are a very different color of grey. It's noticeable when they are together that the mouse is a different color and to me, this is the biggest crime of all because that makes it fail even as a novelty.-The curve of the mouse is far too steep, so your hand sits on it at a weird position. This will cause wrist pain over time for sure and leads to the next problem.-If you rest your hand on this comfortably, the buttons are too far forward and tiny. If you have super long fingers this might not be as great a problem. This is for the left/right mouse buttons and for the "D-pad" buttons. The solution is to move your hand into a position that will cause you pain over time and I'm not doing that.- The trackpad for scrolling is far too laggy and somehow too sensitive. I scroll on one screen and move the mouse and the scroll continues onto the next screen as though it hadn't finished yet.I really wanted to justify using this mouse as my primary mouse and I do need a new mouse, but this just isn't it.

Super produit. elle glisse sur tous les supports. le principe "bouton apparent" marche bien, peut-être un peu haut puisqu'il faut plier le doigt plus qu'usuellement. la roulette tactile est géniale. son corps est un peu haut cela plie le poignet. malgré ces d'améliorations ergonomique potentielles, j"adore ce produit. je suis sûr, vue la réputation de solidité de 8bitdo que la seconde version sera au top.
Maybe not the most comfortable but a great mouse anyway!
This mouse has mixed reviews so I didn't pick it up for a long time, but finally I caved because I didn't want it to disappear because I'd feel like I missed out.Right out of the box, you can tell it's well made, especially for the price. And it looks killer next to the NES themed keyboard - which is really why I bought it.Is it an amazing $200 gaming mouse? No. Is it better than a lot of mice in it's price range? Absolutely. Does it look boss? You better believe it.

Excelente producto que te transporta a una memoria retro por el diseño que tiene, la verdad es un producto excelente y de alta calidad. Aunque eh de decir que mis sospechas eran ciertas, el mouse no es tan ergonomico a la mano, es un producto que lo recomiendo mas para actividades de ofimatica, navegacion, etc. Pero no un mouse para jugar por lo poco ergonomico que es. Aun asi le doy 5 estrellas porque es un producto de alta calidad y retro por el diseño, y desde antes de la compra ya sabia que no era ergonomico pero aun asi realice la compra
