Very impressed with this pan. I used a thick batter and it did not leak at all. It appears to be identical to the Williams and Sonoma pan. I have many USA cake pans and I would purchase this again. You have to hand wash it, but that is the only negative. Another potential negative is that a lot of of the silicone attachments for water bath sold on Bolo do not fit this type of pedestal pan. This is not unique to the USA cake pan. Any pedestal pan will have a problem with that and it was something I was unaware of before buying. That said I would still buy this pan again. I wish they made it in other sizes and not just the 9 inch. Very happy with the purchase and I feel like it was worth the money.And in case you are wondering, because why wouldn’t you be, this is an Italian lemon ricotta cake, and I am very excited to eat it!!!

This springform pan may be different than what most of us are used to but it does not disappoint. I’ve used it four times since it arrived and it has delivered reliable results. Despite decent care, our old one was prone to leaking and rusting after a few years. This new one from USA Pan has a silicone gasket and no leaks so far when making a cheesecake. I’ve used for other cakes as well and it releases well. It feels well made, not flimsy at all.

From someone who cooks cheesecakes a lot…I have used USA Pans before and have always been very pleased with them. This pan leaves much to be desired. There just too many pieces to this pan. The seal around the base became loose after one use, the silicone seals on the sides of the pan are finicky, as I was pressing my cheesecake crust into the sides of the pan, the pan just fell apart. Returning this item. I expect better from USA Pan.

I read the reviews mentioning the difficulty in putting this springform pan together but I had no such trouble. I had no batter leakage and my cheesecake was perfect. I did not put the silicone seals and gasket to the test by putting the pan directly in the water bath (I didn’t have time to make another cheesecake in case water seeped in) but I’ll be willing to risk it at a less stressful time. Yes, I am going to have to pay attention to keeping the different parts of this pan together but it seems worth it.

The first one I ordered arrived incredibly bent, and the protective plastic opened. I was sent a replacement that arrived quickly. The second one wasn't deformed but the plastic covering was broken open. However it is water proof and made a really good cheesecake!
