Important Notes:
· It is normal for the scissors to have a slight gap when closed. This is an intentional design to reduce friction.
· It is also normal for there to be gaps between the teeth of the thinning shears.
· If the gap is too large, try adjusting the tension screw to reduce the gap.
· If your dog’s fur is severely matted, detangle it first before cutting. Otherwise, it could damage the scissors and result in uneven trimming.· It's recommended to give your dog a bath and dry their coat before trimming. Start with thinning scissors to thin out the coat, then use other scissors to finish the trim.
· Pay close attention to the correct posture when using the scissors. Improper use can affect the trimming results (causing snagging and pulling) and may also damage the scissors.
· After using the scissors, clean them with a dry cloth to prevent residue from dulling the blades. If possible, disinfect the blades with alcohol to extend the lifespan.

· Curved Scissors: Best for shaping the dog's facial contours, around the ears, chest, and hips, where curved lines are needed.

I'm not confident to do a full groom with him, but do like to neaten him up every few weeks between his regular big grooms. This is a great help to me! I didn't want to spend a ton of money, but wanted basic tools that weren't total garbage. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these. They are nice and sharp, and are of a good weight. I was also surprised that the set came with a case that everything fits into, and a cloth to clean off the blades before putting them away. Biscuit is looking his best all the time now!

I'm not a pet groomer, but I keep these tools on hand when any of the neighborhood cats stop by with matted fur. They do a great job at cutting through thick mats with ease. I really like the rounded tips which lets me run the scissors close to the skin without running the risk of injuring the cats. I also like that they're adult sized and well-made so they fit nicely in my man hands.

Nice kit for fixing your dog’s bad haircut. Every once in a while our dog will come back from the groomer looking a little silly, and this kit helps me get him looking good again. My dog came back with really long ears and I used this product to trim them to a more suitable length and reshaped them. 4 stars because I don’t like the comb.

This set works so well! So I have a small dog, poodle and fox terrier mix. Her hair is a mix of curly and straight and always gets so long. I used to struggle using cheaper scissors when trying to give her a trim and now it's a breeze to cut her hair. Makes haircuts faster which is great because she hates them. They have the guards on the end but are still sharp to cut through her hair( I know some with the guards don't but these do!)

This is a great grooming set and easy to use. The only thing I would change is to include a number 5 blade, which is what the groomer my dog has been going to is used to. I use the three which is slightly shorter but still works. If you're new to grooming as I am, best to watch grooming online via Youtube for your breed of dog and then to be realistic accepting your efforts will not be perfect the first several times you use this. My new motto is "thank goodness hair grows"!

Great for beginners
Super great set for the DIYer. I use it to trim my golden retriever to keep his paws and legs neat. Nice and sharp and the thinning shears were super useful too.
Sturdy and works great
Love this kit to trim my puppy between cuts. His eyebrows grow long and works great. Cuts hair very easily and I like that they have a protector on the end so its not too sharp just incase he twitches.
