My houseplants started headbanging. My cat now answers only to “Slash.”This vinyl isn’t just an album—it’s a full-throttle punch to the eardrums in the best possible way. The analog warmth makes “Welcome to the Jungle” hit harder than my coffee after 4 hours of sleep. Axl’s screams? Still illegal in 12 countries. Slash’s solos? Melting faces. Possibly furniture.The artwork is iconic, the tracklist is pure chaos and glory, and playing it on vinyl just feels right. It crackles, it roars, and it demands to be turned up until your neighbors either join the party or file a noise complaint.Final thoughts: If you don’t already own this on vinyl, fix your life. Your ears—and your inner rock god—deserve it.

I needed this on cassette and here is is on Bolo for $8. What a score! We need more major labels to reissue cassettes. Many cassets are reaching their lifespan and I want to replace my entire collection.

Tener acceso a esta joya en este formato es algo de otro mundo, el poster que trae en su interior es muy bonito, y la calidad del sonido increíble, me siento muy contento de que el artículo haya venido en perfectas condiciones, y no tardó absolutamente nada en llegar.

To start off, Appetite For Destruction is an 18x Platinum album, making it the most best-selling album of all time world-wide, Surpassing the album Boston(by Boston). Next, this is the review of the songs:1.WELCOME TO THE JUNGLEA great start for entering the Appetite, it has very violent lyrics, but it is one of the best songs on the album.2.IT'S SO EASY [EXPLICIT]One out of two of the songs on the album that front-man Axl Rose shows his deeper voice. It also has violent lyrics, and has explicit lyrics (cussing).3.NIGHTRAINA drinking song, about cheap Californian wine. This song is not explicit in anyway (unless you find the lyrics,"and I can tell you honey, you can make my money tonight." explicit).4.OUT TA GET ME [EXPLICIT]The song is about running away from police. The song has explicit lyrics (cussing).5.MR BROWNSTONE [EXPLICIT]A song about drugs (the lyrics,"I used to do a little but the little didn't do it, so the little got more and more. Just kept trying to get a little better, said a little better than before.") It has explicit lyrics (cussing).6.PARADISE CITYOne of the best songs on the album. The song is about 'getting away from this life'. It has no explicit lyrics in anyway.7.MY MICHELLEOne of my favorites. It dosen't have any cussing, the lyrics are sexually explicit.12.ROCKET QUEEN [EXPLICIT]Even though it dosen't say explicit, it is sexually explicit, but other than that, it's a real good song.This is My Review, and I recommend this album to anyone who likes any kind of rock, and I believe that this is the greatest album in the history of music.

Bought it, but realized later it said "EDITED" and so, I tried the honorable thing which was to cancel, but the computer wouldn't let me. Fortunately, the disc itself is not the edited version, although the booklet is missing the graphic original "Coop" artwork in which the album itself barrowed it's name.

Ein Monolith!
Klar, zu dem Album gibt es nicht mehr viel hinzuzufügen. Einer der ganz grossen Klassiker der Rockgeschichte, unverzichtbar neben Live at Leeds, Led Zeppelin IV, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sgt.Pepper, Never Mind the Bollocks, Elvis Sun Sessions und all den anderen Meilensteinen. Habe gerade wieder "Paradise City" gehört und mich daran erinnert, was dieser Song doch für ein Wahnsinns-Inferno ist und warum am Ende der 80er-Jahre, dem Jahrzehnt von Heavy Metal, diese Band zur "härtesten Band der Welt" gekürt wurde und Metal so schnell pulverisiert wurde, wie kein Musikstil jemals zuvor. Denn, anders als in einigen anderen Kritiken hier behauptet wird: G'n'R waren kein Metal, hier gibt es keine getappten Solos, kein Rhythmusgitarrenspiel mit abgedämpften Seiten, nein, G'n'R waren die Rückkehr des Rocks (mit einem Schuss Punk und Haarspray) in der Prägung der sechziger Jahre, garniert auch mit den Drogen und Skandalen dieser Ära. Da ist Izzy Stradlin mit seiner Rolling-Stones-Ballonmütze und den dazu passenden Riffs, Slash mit seinen Led-Zeppelin-T-Shirts und den an Page erinnernden Solos und zuletzt Axl Rose: dieser Robert-Planet-meets-Janis-Joblin-auf-Speed-Blues-Exorzismus. Oh ja, gegen diesen Sturm aus holperigen Schlagzeug, hysterischem Gesang und jeder-gegen-jeden donnernden Gitarren, wo alles jeden Moment auseinanderzufallen scheint, um sich dann im nächsten Abgeh-Teil zu weiteren Höhen der Extase wiederzufinden - sehen die gedrechselten und ausgefeilten Arrangements einer Band wie Metallica aus wie das Werk solider, aber sehr bodenständiger Handwerker (die es gerne hart haben, aber das ist es dann auch schon). Die Stimmung auf diesem Album dagegen ist so einzigartig, unmittelbar, authentisch und nicht mehr zu wiederholen, dass es der Band tatsächlich selbst nicht noch einmal gelang. Mit dem hochmotivierten Nachfolge-UYI-Doppel-Doppel-Album, dem Versuch diesen Millionenseller noch zu toppen, scheitert die Band und macht die Qualität von "Appeite for Destruction" um so deutlicher. Auf UYI zeigen sie sich immer noch als hervorragende Songwriter, das war neben der Härte, dem Wahnsinn und dem Chaos, das sie anrichteten ja auch stets eine ihrer grossen Qualitäten, dass sie nie das Songwriting vergassen - aber hier nun bei "November Rain", "Shotgun Blues", "Knocking on Heavens Door" und "You could be mine" fehlt das gewisse Etwas - alles was voher noch so roh und unmittelbar war, ist auf ein Mal perfekt und, nun, fast gediegen.Wie auch immer, Kurt Cobain mag Axl Rose auf den Tod gehasst haben und sein Versuch eine Art Anitstar zu sein, basierte, ganz im Sinne klassischer Dialektik, sicherlich auch auf dem Über-Stardom von Rose - und doch hat Grunge dem Album "Appetite for Destruction" viel zu verdanken: die Koppelung von Härte und Melodiösität, Teenager-Herzschmerz und Wut, die Mischung aus Punk und Sixities-Rock (die bei Soundgarden und Pearl Jam noch deutlicher wird) - alles findet sich bereits auf diesem erratischen Monolith von 1987.
