Classic military style brush. Fits in your hand like a good brush should. Bristles are a great combination of boar and nylon, giving a soft feel for your hair and scalp. Works perfectly no matter what style you wear.

Nylon bristles are about 1.25” long, slightly longer than my previous very old rectangular brush with handle, which had about 1/3 of the bristles missing, leaving about 2/3 of the original brush area. Bristles on this new brush are a good stiffness for me and feel good on my head which includes hair loss on top. I don’t miss having a handle. The grooves cut into the sides of this brush don’t seem wide enough to be very helpful for grip but there’s no problem gripping the brush. It works well and price was reasonable.

The Kent PF22 has the proper mix of nylon (firmness) and natural bristle (smoothness)...a combo that lesser hair brushes fail to deliver. This brush easily handles damp hair and styling products. The military style brush is very comfortable in hand for daily use, plus packs easily for travel.

I have bought several beard brushes for my husband over the years and wanted to get a nice one for him for Christmas. When I went on Wirecutter, this brand kept coming up, but I did not want to spend $80 on a beard brush. I found this style and decided to give it a try. My husband LOVES it and says it is hands down the best beard brush he has ever had. I cannot speak to how it could compare to the higher end styles, but if you are looking for a more modestly priced KENT brush for a bearded guy, this might be the ticket. For reference, my husband has a thick, well filled in shorter beard.

I've been using this brush for several months. I have had absolutely no issues with it, the varnish/finish of the wood has not degraded at all and it is comfortable to use.
