5.0 out of 5 stars Good for SATA. Won't beat NVMe, but still pretty fast.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } If you're going all SSDs and don't want to rely on external drives, storage is still a bit of a problem. Most boards only have one or two M.2 slots, so if you want to keep going you need SATA drives too. Especially if you don't want it to cost an arm and a leg. These SATA drives aren't as fast as NVMe, but they're still pretty fast. For just about any normal task they should still exceed any reasonable requirements. Games run just fine on this drive and it's still fast enough for most high performance tasks like video capture or etc. Maybe UHD in uncompressed video couldn't keep up, but I think for most normal people this drive will do just fine.So far this drive seems to be reliable. It doesn't run especially hot or anything, so I have no complaints.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great upgrade for a smaller spindle drive.
Been using this for years and still going strong. Really easy to install and setup and has plenty of space. My computer recognized it as soon as I turned it on. Well worth the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Reputation and seem to work well.
Based on reviews I got this to replace a 2 TB Wester Didgital Blue HDD data disk in my 2020 desktop. I'm using the old drive as backup. I had bought a WD Green drive for a bad HDD in my laptop before this and I wished I gone with the Sandisk instead. Seems like for the money this are a great, reliable SSD.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best SanDisk product.
Very good product.Laptop runs way smoother now.
5.0 out of 5 stars AS ADVERTISED
I added this as a second hard drive to a Beelink EQ12 N100 mini PC and installed a Bitcoin node. It has worked flawlessly since purchase. I had the node up and running within 15 minutes. It is definitely going in my will-purchase-again category.
4.0 out of 5 stars This SDD comes in a plastic shell with no way to dissipate any heat effectively.
Unlike most other SSD companies Sandisk for some reason decided to not use a aluminum case for thIS SATA SSD. I bought this SSD for my PS4, so it didn't need to be top of the line fast or anything just reliable. It was at first, when I noticed the system it's self wasn't overheating or having little stutters here and there. The PS4 was fine running the og HDD with out any annoying stutters just the load times where terrible. This SSD was pretty good the first couple of weeks. I installed only a few key online games on the new internal SSD like Fortnite, PUBG, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, & Spiderman. Figured those games would benefit from the slightly quicker loading. All my other games are on disc and mostly single player but there installed on an external 2tb HDD.TLDR-if ur going to stuff this little sweatbox of a SSD in a tight confined space like PS4 Slim, be prepared to a little copper shim for a heatsink. Over its always been snapper before and after my little mod to it then the og HDD. It booted quicker it was just as easy to get the PS4s OS Installed on the new drive. Sony Actually has a way to download the updates and stuff you need to do it. All u have to have is i think a 8 or 16gb jump drive.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty fast
Using these in a raid 5 and they perform pretty good. No failures after a couple months
5.0 out of 5 stars Significantly improved the speed of my travel laptop that I use for work.
All right a few things to establish before I get into this:1.) I installed this hard drive on a laptop I only use for writing word documents and browsing the web. I do not game or do any video card intensive things on here. Just admin and work purposes.2.) I didn't rate easy to install because the hard drive itself is easy to install. However, the device you install it to will make a huge difference in how easy it is. If you're sticking this in a desktop case, it's as simple as 1, 2, 3. In my case, I was installing it on a Dell laptop with touch screen capability. The amount of steps took me at least an hour or two because I had to follow a Youtube video. So, I have a old Dell laptop that I bought in 2014-2015 that I needed to use while riding the train to work. It served me well until recently when I started to notice that the laptop was taking longer and longer to boot up and run applications. Boot up time would be about 3 minutes into Windows 10, then launching an app could take anyway from 7-10 minutes before it was ready. So we're looking at almost a total of 15 minutes just to do something basic like open word or a website.I assumed it was because I bought a slow laptop, but when I went into task manager I saw that the HD was always hitting 100% usage the entire time the computer was on. In task manager, under performance, your PC should be between 1% if you're not using anything or running any background programs. But my computer was at 100% with absolutely awful read and write speeds. Meanwhile my CPU was at normal values. So I bought the Sandisk SSD which was compatible with my laptop and went through the process of opening up my laptop to take out the original drive. I highly recommend using the IFixit toolkit with magnetic pad to not lose the dozens of screws you will be messing with and to keep notes.Once I got the original laptop drive out (a Seagate ST1000LM024) I plugged the Seagate and the Sandisk drive into my desktop PC and used a software called AOMEI dynamic disk manager pro edition. (Yes you have to buy this software but it's relatively inexpensive at around $50-$60.I cloned the original Seagate drive to the Sandisk drive. Plugged in the Sandisk, reassembled my laptop, and voila works like a charm. Now the laptop takes less than 30 seconds to boot up and be ready for me to use apps. It's even faster than my other work laptop I use strictly for my job which is newer and more expensive than my old machine.Great little drive that has significantly sped up my laptop which I was going to trash and sell. Really happy with this purchase.

Great ssd
Great ssd works well as expected, fast reliable
This was the most powerful machine in 2004 with the NORTHWOOD P4 processor
I bought this drive for my ageing PC Northwood Mesh PC. This machine was very sought after in 2004 with the latest graphics card and latest and newest afforementioned processor. In 2004 a P4 3.4Ghz was the 'in thing' at the time. I have preserved my Mesh PC from then till now and I have upgraded the system with this fantastic SSD.I am using the original keyboard to write this review. It came with the said machine that I bought 16 years ago. The motherboard is Sata1 but thankfully the drive I bought is appears to be backwards compatible. When this machine starts up it gets to the desktop and starts up VERY quickly despite being XP.You might be thinking why not use it in a more up to date machine? For me this machine has "sentimental" meaning for the last 16 years and it is faster than ever (although the browser is very slow now), it works with the WIFI 5G system despite only being USB2.When I say faster, I mean when I click on My Computer for example the window opens immediately. My rig used to have a 1x 500Gb Sata3 and 1 x 250Gb IDE. Due to problems with the IDE this is why I now use the afforementioned disc in this machine to encompass both old discs.SSD is DEFINETELY the way forward, especially the new ssd which slots into the motherboard. My rig: 3.4 Ghz Northwood Mesh PC, 1Tb Sandisc SSD, CD RW, DVD RW (both IDE), MS 6743 mobo with dial up modem (obselete), 1394 ports, and Creative Sound Blaster 2 Zs platinum (still works a treat!) with 7.1 sound. Bluetooth and 5G wifi on usb2.
Big and very fast
Very fast and solidly performing SSD, the best we have owned to date.
SSD com excelente custo benefício
Funcionou perfeitamente
