Barbeque meat is the most delicious of all but the ingredients vary from person to person and can be hit or miss. Shan Foods brings you Shan Chicken Tikka recipe and seasoning mix. This is a seasoning mix made exclusively for barbeque blend. The final product is deliciously soft and moist finger licking Chicken Tikka.
Steps to Cooking
1. Mix together Shan Chicken Tikka Mix, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons oil. Apply on chicken pieces and marinate for 3 hours +.
2. Put each portion of chicken on skewer and place it on low heat of charcoal / gas grill.
3. Grill evenly on each side until meat is tender and done. Apply butter before removing from heat. Serving Suggestions: Serve hot Chicken Tikka with fresh green salad, sliced onion, tomatoes and Shan Tamarind / BBQ / Green Chutney.

I recommend you use 1/3-1/2 what the directions say. It has a very intense flavor and heat at full strength. Your tastes may differ. You can always add more, or use potatoes or additional meat to "dilute it." 😆

I read a book where tandoori chicken was the character’s favorite dish, so I wanted to try it. By far, the most scrumptious moist, flavorful chicken I have ever fixed (and I love to cook). I served it to my book club and they all went back for a second helping! The spices were mellow and beautifully blended-not hot or spicy at all. I will buy again.

I’m not an Indian food expert and for me a raw slice of jalapeño is all the burn I’ll ever need. On that basis, this mix was spicy and tasty. It wasn’t overly salty although definitely not low sodium either.

Delicious and goes a long way. You can use it for a variety of purposes; either following the directions and making traditional kebabs, or branching out and using it to make spicy burgers or even tacos using paratha/tortillas. If you mix it half (or even 1/3) strength, you'll typically get a strong flavor, although that will vary by taste. Using about 1/3 strength, each pack can easily season about 6 pounds of beef.

If there was a zero, I'd give it that. The product is made in Pakistan but I had to peel off a clever label to see that..looked all over the box until I found it. Contains a variety of interesting chemicals such as Potatssium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Pyrophosphate, and etc. Now why would anyone want to eat that? Of course I see on the web that those chemicals are "generally recognized as safe"..LOL, how many time have we heard that? So it's going right in the trash, not worth returning. Def do not buy. Reviews are a real problem for manufacturers like these.
