We had this delivered to my inlaws in Phoenix - my mother in law had mentioned she wanted some and we live in Arkansas - Bolo makes it so easy- I've always liked these too but getting spoiled now to more authentic ones- still when the mood strikes this is comfort food

These "tamales" are pretty terrible compared to real homemade ones, but I used to buy them when I was a starving student. They weren't any better then, but I have always liked cumin and masa. The tamales have plenty of cumin. The sauce isn't very spicy and the "beef" filling is not identifiable as such. There are 6 small tubes in the can, extruded in a large-scale industrial process, each wrapped in a sort of waxed paper. It helps to have some rice to soak up the sauce.
