Love this! Made play dough for my 14 month old, all the colors turned out great! The yellow is VERY saturated compared to the others, but did not stain my hands, or the counter!!

Like with any natural bases product, there are things you need to do. Stir the dyes with a chopstick or toothpick bc they do settle or separate (all natural stuff does).Also, if you are a baker, then you already know that all food dye, even toxic synthetics have a curing process. There are ways we bakers have to ensure the product is vibrant.The sunflower cake is all natural dyes, ones used form this specific kit were the blue and yellow and red. (I used edible charcoal powder as well). Artists as well know how to create colors from only 3.The other two cakes are all of this dye on the sides! So the pictures painted on top of the fondant piece (like a painting) are done with synthetics. BUT the green on the butterfly cake, and the orange yellow and red pink sunset siding on the wave cake, are all from the dyes from this kit!

Was in the market looking for vegan food coloring to add color to butter creme icing. The blue did not come out a deep blue even after using several drops, mixing and repeating. On the other hand the yellow came out very beautiful. Cannot write about red because I didn't use it. Over all it was good. Didn't leave change the flavor of the icing which was a plus.
