I’ve tried dozens of barrier creams, and Avène Cicalfate+ is by far the best I’ve used. I originally bought this after a recommendation from my dermatologist for healing skin after using strong actives like retinoids and acids — and I’m so glad I did.-What I Love:The texture is thick but spreads easily and creates a nice protective layer without feeling suffocating.It calms redness almost instantly and has helped heal dry, flaky patches overnight.It doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts (I have acne-prone skin and was nervous about this), and actually helps fade post-acne marks faster.Fragrance-free, which is a must for my sensitive skin!Best Uses (for me):As an overnight recovery cream after exfoliatingOn healing blemishes or irritated spotsOn dry cuticles and hands in winterPost-shaving or after a cosmetic procedureHeads-up: It’s definitely rich, so I wouldn’t use this under makeup or during the day if you have oily skin. Private. It works well has a bit of a white cast but I use strictly at night. It seems to be restoring my skin but not sure if it's really worth the money that you pay for. I've had other products in the past.That work just is good for less money. I also live in florida and find that this product can be a little heavy for the skin during the summer.

Friends, this is THE skincare product! This is like superfood for your skin. My skin is hydrated, DEEP forehead wrinkles are minimized, and my rosacea is the most tame that it’s ever been. It’s a little heavy so I use it as my night cream. After one week, I’ve tossed out creams from Beekman, F.A.B., and Biossance because this humble cream outperforms them all. I have combo skin with very few blemishes or breakouts, for reference.User note: shake the bottle before using it. The water does separate but you can mix it back up in your hand.

This has saved my skin. I put it on religiously if I’m home during the day but no matter what I use it every night. I can definitely tell an improvement in my blemishes and my skin looks healthier. My skin is very stubborn and dry and I don’t think I’ve ever had this much success with a product. Not a paid review at all I just love this stuff. My only complaint is the price but a little goes a long way.

This was the only product that cleared up the persistent mystery rash around my four-year-old son’s mouth. We tried so many things, but nothing worked until this!Yes, the product does separate — and other reviewers have great tips for dealing with that. Honestly, I think the fact that it does separate is probably a good thing — it likely means they aren’t using extra chemicals that could irritate sensitive skin.

This is thick and may cause pimples but its a must for healing sunburn (or in my case, a burn from an allergic reaction to ferulic acid)

Great cream for dry and sensitive skin. I only put on the dry spots in my face. I tried to use it as a fake mask, was too much for my face, too strong. Arrived in perfect shape and condition. I squeezed the tube gently before opening. No blueish water leaking, great consistency. Perfect for dry, sensitive, eczema skin.
