I was shocking my well every 6 months, and replacing my whole house carbon filter every month before this unit. I had bad manganese in my well water. After I installed this the stains in my toilet, tub were cleaned by the filtered water within a month. I have not done anything to this unit but let it auto backwash for 2 years. Now after 2 years it's time to change to filter media. After all the work before installing this I believe a little maintenence every 2 years is no big deal. Also my water taste great. I left the carbon filter in After this unit and. I change that yearly even though is still looks new.

They will not answer or return calls, product failed within a month , they now say it's past warranty because wouldn't respond for over 4 months

Directions were not the greatest but using 1/2" pex to run to existing drain and 1" fnpt to 3/4" pex connection wasn't bad. Check factory settings prior to running the first cycle. Brine Fill (BF) was still on my unit and it shot water all over. But, after figuring that out it has been great. Took sulfur smell out of water. I do recommend a 2 stage whole house filter before this unit as it doesn't take out much iron. All-in-all I was able to setup everything to fix horrible water for about $1500 (including 2 stage filter) and the only major upkeep is changing out filters every 3-6 months.

This unit works as advertised once you figure out how to program the control head. You'll receive no help in that regard from the vender of this product. The paperwork that comes with the control head does not instruct you how to program it nor does the vender's website. I assumed wrongly that the control head was preprogrammed and the unit blew cloudy water all over my basement. Luckily a different vender (Aplus Water LLC) who also sells these units, but not on Bolo, made a decent instructional video you can find on youtube. It's inconceivable to me that Oceanic Water Systems would market and sell this unit to homeowners without any regard whatsoever for homeowners critical need to program the control head at unit startup.

Amazing! This the first time in 30 years that I’ve seen such clear water. Other systems I’ve used can not even compare. I installed this 2 months ago and no issues. The best part is no more salt. Easy to install, just needed some fittings to connect to my plumbing.
