Léon (Jean Reno), who lives down the hall, tends to his houseplants and works as a hired hitman for mobster Tony (Danny Aiello). When her family is murdered by crooked DEA agent Stansfield (Gary Oldman), Mathilda joins forces with a reluctant Leon to learn his deadly trade and avenge her family's deaths.

This is for the 4K release; Studio Canal really knocked this one out of the park. On a large screen this is like viewing a brand new 35mm print. This is where 4K can really and truly shine. It's worth the money and absolutely superior to the Blu-Ray.

i like the first scene of the camera's shooting of the apartment building starting from the bottom of the winding stairs up to the top level where matilda is sitting with her legs hanging over the edge with the camera panning up from her feet up to her head to see her smoking a cigerette, a good close up ,her first movie .a must have for the collection. funny at times with the good acting of all,especially of gary oldman playing the psycotic D.E.A. agent ,when he takes a prozac capsule out and crackes it in his teeth before he goes in for a bust , in the begining when they shoot up the apt.and every one in it. and a blast of an ending. i must have watched it several times .

This is a 2-disc set (Disc 1 is the 4K Directors cut and Disc 2 is the Blu-Ray Directors Cut/Theatrical version).Disc 1 works fine in any 4K player - It's region-free. However, Disc 2 is locked to Region B (Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand), not the USA.I find this disappointing as NOWHERE in the description does it say anything but "Leon: Director’s Cut 4K [Blu-ray] [2019] [Region Free]". One would conclude that the discs are, well, REGION FREE. However, it clearly states on the back of the box (which is not pictured anywhere on Bolo's web site), that Disc 2 is Region B only. For shame.

Compre esta versión esperando que fuera una película más larga de lo usual pero resultó ser simplemente la versión internacional donde se observa a Mathilda aprender de Leon, por lo que finalmente lo destacable es la presentación de la película que en mi opinión es bastante agradable para una joya como este filme dentro de tu colección.Como advertencia pues he visto mucho este tipo de quejas en otras películas, la película únicamente viene en inglés, tanto en audio como subtítulos, lo que dificulta un poco el con quien compartirla pero lejos de eso la imagen, su fluidez, color y la muy superior mezcla de sonido para esta versión en 4K valen mucho la pena

Léon - Director's Cut's 4K Blu-ray disc does provide Dolby Vision-enhanced 4K which is a step up - however nominal - No theatrical cut - The superb Atmos remains the same, and the extras are the same too. Overall an amazing film.
