My original Febco 765-1 was installed in 2004, but due freezing temps in Michigan, one of the valves cracked. The levers also corrode and fall apart (I would love to know where to get replacements levers), but still they lasted 20yrs. Both valves still moved well. I decided to just replace the whole assembly. I cut the copper pipes on both sides to remove the original, and then swapped connections, and then used Sharkbite fittings to install the replacement ... Quick and Easy, and No Leaks. I hoping it lasts another 20 years! 👍

We had a tough freeze a few years ago and busted the backflow assembly back then. I hired a sprinkler repair guy and it cost me nearly $500. Decided to give it a try myself this time. Ordered this part and it perfectly replaced my existing Febco 765-1" sprinkler backflow assembly. A quick trip to Lowe's to purchase some PVC pieces (be sure to purchase the high-pressure PVC) and about an hour of effort and it works like a charm!! Saved me a ton of money.

THE TREAD FOR THE VALVES ISN’T THE TREAD FOR ANYTHING IN YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORES, ended up having to buy new valves to go along with it, an extra$80 spent,I couldn’t just went with the same one at Home Depot, just without the freeze sensors that I also found to be useless since you need to purchase extremely over priced hardware & equipment that again does not are any of your local stores… ugh
