I have pretty severe sebaceous hyperplasia. I have had chemical peels. I’ve had them burned off, frozen, I’ve used topical retin A from my dermatologist. It always rages back. I saw a review say this stuff shrinks them and makes them much less visible. I was put off by the price, but let’s face it, I’ve dropped a lot more than this.My first wash, I did not use anything to remove my make up. I wanted to see if this got rid of it by what was left when I used my toner. Initially, I thought this stuff would be greasy. IT IS NOT! It COMPLETELY MELTED MY MAKE UP AWAY! I have used it daily for about two weeks. It is unlike anything I have ever used. It leaves my face clean, but not dry. It isn’t oily either, like some make up removers that then require soap and water. I have purchased most of the face cleaners in Ulta. I have never, in my oily 57 years, used anything like this. The price point is amazing considering what it does. It even removed my waterproof mascara???? I don’t know what is in this, and frankly I do not care. It’s hot where I live, and my SH is not growing. My skin feels clean. It’s not dry. It’s not greasy. I write reviews only occasionally, but I want others who have struggled with oily skin issues for years to know there’s something out there for us. I can’t speak to dry skin, but it feels extremely gentle. Am I rid of my excess oil completely? No, but I have other solutions in my toolbox for that. I will do without other things to buy this again and again. I love other products from The Ordinary, but THIS one is the Holy Grail. I still have bumps from SH. However, they are almost flat, and much less noticeable. For my fellow sufferers out there, this helped me. They’re no longer the first thing I see when I look in the mirror. I don’t feel like people see them and wonder what the heck is on my face. Many thanks to The Ordinary for a decently priced, effective product that does what it says.

If I wear makeup this is my preferred cleanser because it’s great at getting rid of concealers and liquid makeup from face. If my skin is feeling dry this is all I use. If it’s oily i follow with neutrogena for sensitive skin.

I’ve been using The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with how it performs. It goes on like a lightweight balm, then melts into an oil-like texture as you warm it up in your hands. It removes makeup (even mascara) really well without needing to scrub, and it rinses clean without leaving any greasy residue behind.My skin feels soft and hydrated afterward — not tight or dry like with some other cleansers. I have sensitive skin and haven’t had any irritation or breakouts since using it. It’s unscented, which I appreciate, and a little goes a long way, so the tube lasts longer than you’d expect.It’s simple, affordable, and does exactly what it claims. If you’re looking for a gentle everyday cleanser that also removes makeup, this is a great choice.

Love this cleanser. Easy to apply. Leaves skin soft and doesn’t dry the skin. I love all of Ordinary products because they work and are very affordable. But this product is fantastic. A few drops in your hand. Rub your hands together and it becomes like an oil. Apply to your face and neck it will remove makeup or just morning and night cleansing. A little goes a long way.

I am 55 years old and I have shopped for cleansers for my Olive oily skin open poured face. This is only one of two products to work on me. I wish the price was better. I use it for a couple of months and then switch to something else because the price was just too high. Unfortunately I had to switch back again because nothing really cleaned my pores out as well as this does. The only other product that is worked on my face would be Olay regenerist 7 in 1 face wash. That is only about $8 but it's not as good as this product. One reason I like this bc I can put it on my face dry, massage it in and then rinse. It's very effective keeping blackheads away. I do highly recommend this product I just wish they would reduce the price.

Normally I really love The Ordinary’s products, and this one seems to work ok but the smell is so off putting I can’t use it for the appropriate amount of time. It smells like old lipstick, for lack of a better description. The tube came sealed and everything seemed fine with it but it just smells old to me and it grosses me out. Excellent price, and I want to like it, but I’m just struggling with the smell.

LOVE this product
First of all, this has an oily texture so if you have acne or prone to spots you may want to check it with your skin doctor first. In my experience I can say that I absolutely love this product and it does clean and prepares my skin very well for the serum/cream after.
