I bought this to have for both of my Sony cameras, an a6400 and a FX30For the FX30 is flawless, you get to use all of the options included with the microphone and the quality is incredibleFor the a6400, um, yeah… it only supports analog mode which introduces some hizzing and less tuning options to get the sound you want, so I would recommend a Rode Mic Go 2 (if you need shotgun) or a wireless oneAnd my last gripe, the dangling… oh boy, that damn sound is a sneaky bastard, sometimes you will notice when recording, but most of the time you won't until you are editing... The shock mount of this mic dangles around making noices and it's very hard to edit it out, so if you can tape the damn mic to its base or only use it when on a tripod, cause on the go, either for vlogging or recording things in movement it can actually ruin the the audio.And I wish it was a bit cheaper, while the quality can be pristine, it also can be ruined by multiple factors

I've read about the problem of noise as the camera shakes and the mic seems to be heard knocking...I put a tiny rubber band in the space where the noise would be created..Wala! Problem Solved!

Ho comprato il microfono per avere un audio decente su una Sony @6000, principalmente brevi commenti da registrare in ambienti outdoor spesso ventosi, senza dover trafficare con radio microfoni o boom poles. Ho aggiunto una protezione antivento in pelo, e sono rimasto sorpreso in positivo. L'audio è più che accettabile, e l'AGC, che era la mia principale preoccupazione, sembra gestito dalla macchina in modo adeguato. Il livello è un po' alto, la macchina porta tutto quasi a 0db, i classici -12 sarebbero stati preferibili, ma è una soluzione che consente grande praticità quando serve un uso rapido, con una qualità complessiva accettabile.

Can hear lens focus motor
I wanted this to replace a traditional shotgun mic since this pulls power and data right from the hot shoe but I could clearly still hear the focusing even with a silent motor lens since the mic has no shock absorbance.

Super micro. Acheté pour mon Sony ax53 il marche parfaitement. Le son est mieux isolé et de meilleure qualité (même si le son embarqué dans le ax53 est déjà très bon). Le fait de ne pas avoir de câble est un grand plus. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent.
