It exceeded my expectations!I had a very old video tape—over 30 years old—and thought I would never get to see those memories again. But Southern Scan did an exceptional job!It only took 2 days to receive the mailing box, and once I dropped off my package at USPS, it was delivered in 5 days. As soon as the package arrived, Southern Scan emailed me a Dropbox link to view the digitized video.I didn’t expect a miracle, considering the quality of the original recording, but what I received was an accurate and impressive representation—for a very reasonable price.I strongly recommend this service to anyone with old tapes—they are amazing!A million thanks to the team for bringing my memories back to life!

Amazing service! Fast and great quality!I've found a bunch of old tapes I thought were lost. Checked local services to digitize it, but their offers were about $30 per tape. Kind of reasonable, but just a couple of them are working with PAL tapes, and they charge extra for PAL.I sent tapes to SouthernScan and got them digitized pretty fast with great quality!FYI, steps: I received an empty box with a mailing label. Fill the form and put it with tapes into the box. It is prepaid for 1lb of media. I put 8 tapes. After they receive tapes, I got an email with links to Dropbox and a payment form to input the credit card so they can charge it.

This was a great company to work with. I sent them 4 old vhs-c tapes to convert to an mp4. The service was fast and done well. I also sent them a flash drive which they will return to me along with my tapes (per my request for a small fee). I will absolutely use them again to transfer more tapes. I highly recommend. Price is very affordable to bring old memories back to life.

Wonderful service and a Very easy process. They send you the box including a USPS shipping label. If you have old tapes lying around please unlock those memories! I found an old box of HI8 home video cassettes at my dad's. I sent one off as a test for service. So many memories unlocked. I will be sending the rest off to Southern Scan soon. This will be a great gift for the family.

This company was overall a good company to work with. They sent one box for me to return one item back for them to scan as a sample. I then boxed my other items and sent as well in another box. The box that they sent was to be returned to them by media mail, but the postal worker told me that if it got lost it would not be forwarded or returned and if the contents were important to me that he suggested that I send everything by priority...so I did not get the benefit of the free media mail postage as I valued by videos enough to not want to take a chance. I should have sent one box with everything in it rather than the two.I did not know this company but took a chance and was pretty pleased. The video quality cannot be blamed on them as the videos I sent were old. They were very responsive to my emails, but not specifically to my questions. If I sent an email, they responded pretty promptly, but often did not respond to my questions, so I think they wanted to respond to let me know that they were willing to communicate but not typically very specifically. But I had a lot of technical questions and they DiD complete the transfer process well and in a very timely manner...so I guess when I asked questions, although I did not get specific questions answered, they knew what they were doing and did complete the order well. There was one video that appeared corrupted and they Kindly asked that we look at them to see if we had any issues . I asked them to go back to that one to see if they could redo it which they had offered to do if there was a problem. I am not sure whether they fixed it or not. I did receive everything I ordered from them and they were very reasonable in price, so I would recommend them. I think they tried hard to please and respond to me even though I would have appreciated more specific responses.I was glad to see that they were not a fraudulent group, so you will get the job you wish done fine by them. I think some of our videos were actually done by the kids which was reflected in less than the best recorded data, but that too becomes a memory. Thank you again for your work..Southern Scan.
