The inside silicon is thick, provides a really nice gel-like cushion and the neoprene outside is smooth. I use these to hold in tea tree oil on my heels since I had a deep heel itch that I couldn’t eliminate. Used a callous remover then out these in over the tea tree. After a week, the annoying burning itch is gone. These worked so I’m hanging onto them in case the need ever arises again.

I used Dr Foot's heel protectors because I have heel pain and it does help with the pain while wearing them but once I take them off I can feel the pain again. So it doesn't take the pain away permanently only while wearing them that it takes the pain away and makes your heels feel more comfortable. The strap in the front is kind of tight so I had to pull it down a little to make it feel more comfortable for me. Overall I think it's an okay product but I have heard of other products out there that has taken the heel pain away permanently and this product has not done that for me.

I do not want to give a negative review for the product because it does what it says it will do, provide support and comfort to a heel that is hurting. It does provide a bit of comfort, but not as much as I was hoping for. More thickness in the heel area would make this the ideal product. As you get older, the heel gets thinner and firm and thicker protection in this area really helps to reduce the pain in the heel when walking. This product might work for others, but for me it just didn't provide the support that I was hoping it would. The product is quality-made, durable and should last a long time for you if you choose to buy it.

Although, these were soft when you put them on the heel part was so short it didn’t even cover my heel at all. I even tried flipping them and wearing them with the ankle part on my heel. But they are not tall enough. They slide down and don’t cover what they intend too
