They need to remove “Rabbit” from the product description. This does not fit the 2.5 engine.

The large back piece of VW Mount fits in perfectly but be weary of the two arms in the front. Depending on your stock bushing, this may either need to be trimmed or cut off completely in order to fit in. Otherwise be ready for great results and a much better feeling throttle response with far less engine movement

Install wasn’t too bad. It fit perfectly for my mk6 jetta tdi with dsg. Used my own grease on the insert since it didn’t come with any, then was able to use a jack and a piece of wood and pressed it in all the way. Used the stock mounting bolt instead of the one that came with it since I didn’t trust it. Only issue with this is that it causes A LOT of vibration at idle. So I cut off the smaller ends of the insert and left the wider one in. Still vibrates a bit more than my liking after reinstalling but not as bad. Totally worth the smoother shifts and slop that it had prior. For 20 dollars it’s not that bad.

The product seems it is made of strong material.The product doesn't fit my 2008 VW GLI with FSI BPY engine code.You need to verify the mount bushing that is installed on your pendulum mount to verify this insert will fit. I did however try to install this, but it didn't work for me. I greased and pressed the insert into the bushing, when I released the press the large part of the insert went in, but the 2 front prieces popped out. I tried trimming the front 2 pieces to make them thinner to be able to get them to stay into the mount, but the rear section wouldn't come back out, even using a pry bar. I left the rear part the larger piece in the mount and had to cut off the rest of the mount. Its been 3 days and the half that is installed is still in the mount with nothing holding it, but it did however reduce wheel hop, and the engine slop (slight jerk) when taking your foot off the gas at lower gears.

Great product. Very tight fit which is good with this because it stops all movement with the mount. Definitely recommend adding some grease to it when installing so it slides in better. To anyone interested in one thats not used them or had any experience with solid mounts, ive heard people complain about the vibration after installing these but when you install this or any other solid mount you are basically removing the cushioning effects of the rubber mount and forcing all the the engine vibrations into the body of the car and you WILL feel it.

This did not for my 08 Rabbit mk5. What a waste. I was unable to use it.

This dogbone insert is the ticket for 2.5 VW, especially with a manual trans. It stabilizes the drivetrain, making everything work better, and putting more power thru the wheels, rather than wasting it by fighting against the mushy oem set-up. BEST $20 you will ever spend on a car part.
