So I am not a chef, or a baker, but I do like to cook once in a while. I bought this to replace the paddle on my wife's KitchenAid that had become chipped somehow (wasn't me honey, I promise!). The silicone blades wipe the sides of the bowl clean right out of the box without any adjustment to the mixer head, and that's really all I needed it to do! Mixes as well or better than the paddle it replaced, and at a decent price.
