...I end up having to use it everyday!I bought this to address a squeaking issue in my bicycle's disk brake which developed after putting on some miles since I bought the bike new, 1000 miles or so. Before using this product, I would wipe my disks down with some water or rubbing alcohol, which would work for a couple or more days. I was hoping that this cleaner would solve all my problems. Unfortunately, I have had mixed results.Ok, it does work, and it is easier than my previous method, just spray on and let dry. It does dry quickly and so far it has not damaged any surfaces, just like the ad said. Having said that however, the effectiveness only works for a day or less. It has become my before ride ritual, fortunately it does not take long, less than topping off the pressure of my tires.The problem may be with my expectations? My squeak only happens under light braking, ie when trying to slow down a little, the initial phase of the pads hitting the disks and goes away with harder pressure. It does make a hell of a noise, sometimes starling pedestrians. Lately, I have been using used dryer sofetning sheets. The sightly abrasive nature seems to take care of the noise just as well. I'm hoping that used with the cleaner, the surface will become truly clean again and get rid of the noise. Incidentally, the cleaner will not dissolve old pad material imbedded in the disk.
