This is a one piece forged hammer, that means that the head and the body of the hammer are one, unlike jacketed which have a separate body and head. One piece forged guarantees that the head wont rip off, unlike jacketedThis hammer bends at the bottom which makes it harder for it to slip out and makes it more comfortable to use. I have had about 6 different hammers in my life, and they all had one of two major problems, the head would rip off, or the grip would slip off, this doesnt have those problems, best hammer on the planetAnd its not too heavy

I have a love-hate relationship with this hammer… and now my boyfriend. I hate this hammer because my boyfriend prefers this hammer over me. He cleans it more than he cleans himself, he takes photos of it, he sleeps with it, he drives with it, he is always holding it. I’ll ask to hold his hand and he will say “my hands are full” when he is just holding the hammer. I’ll ask him how I look and he will say “you look fine” but when he talks about his hammers look he goes on and on about it’s shape is so perfect and is the best thing he’s ever looked at. He will randomly sit up in the middle of the night and angrily say “where is my hammer” but when I can’t find my medication he doesn’t help anymore.This hammer has ruined my relationship and confidence.I give it 5 stars on behalf of my boyfriend because it works. I wouldn’t know the quality of it, he doesn’t let me touch it.
