4.0 out of 5 stars Own 3, none of the tires stay inflated... until now?
I bought 3 of these for my kids to replace their smaller razor scooters... I absolutely hate them. The quality seems great and initially I really liked them. It was a smoother and safer ride over the bumpy sidewalks and streets in NYC but we quickly noticed that none of the tires on these were staying inflated. And to make matters worse, the stems are so short and difficult to get to they are incredibly difficult to attach a pump to. They've been sitting on the rack for the past year after only a handful of uses since the tires need to be inflated before each use and it is a total pain to do it. A total waste of $300+ and will be my last Razor purchase.Update: so based on my issues with inflating the tires we didn't use these for over a year. We moved to a new place with trails out back and decided to inflate the tires and go for a ride. 2 months later and all the tires are still full... I have no idea why all of a sudden none of them are leaking. I am using a different air pump so my only thought was maybe my old pump was somehow making the valve stay open slightly after filling? I have no idea but I am much happier now! They are still a pain to inflate so minus 1 star.

I do like this scooter a lot! I bought 3 scooters, this was the first one. It has a nice low deck which makes it easy to kick from since you don't have to bend your other leg that much. Just beware that the deck is really low when you go over edges etc. The pneumatic tires make this a really quiet scooter, people do not hear you coming ! However, those tires do not stay hard for very long, perhaps a week or two, before you would want to inflate again. The problem is that the valves are difficult to attach a pump to, since they are small and really close to the rims. The other problem is that the folding mechanism is too slow. If you don't need to fold it for your use that is not a problem, but if you go on a bus it is most practical to fold it. Otherwise it is a really good scooter, and comfortable too. Sturdily built. The rear push-down foot brake does work somewhat even in wet conditions since the tires are pneumatic and not Polyurethane.Update after almost 3 years of every day use: After almost 3 years of using this scooter 5 days a week I couldn’t be happier ad just now decided to buy another one so in case something happens to the tires on the old one I still have one to use since I need it every day. I have found the tires last about 2 years with everyday use before they wear out, they get a bulge in the tread and then you know it is time to change them out. You can buy the complete tire directly from Razor for under $25 each, which is reasonable. This is now my favorite scooter, very sturdy and lightweight (11lbs) so it is easy to bring on a bus if you need (like I do). You can just grab it and run up escalators or stairs and easily bring to your workplace. It doesnt need a lot of room. One great thing is the low deck which makes it so much easier on your knees. (Just be aware of large bumps). During dark mornings you can attach bike lights to the handlebar so you can be safe. The wide tires makes this a whole lot safer than the those with thin urethane tires.For those who are trying to stay fit: using this will greatly increase your muscle mass while shrinking your thighs and legs! Forgot to mention I am 5 f 5 and 140 lbs. it fits perfectly, just the right size for me.

Loving this scooter so far! Great workout. Holds 245 pounds well, moves over bumps and humps well. Would love it if the deck was a little longer to fit those with bigger feet on a little easier.

You will be singing praises to the designer if this wheel if you ever have to repair a flat or ever just add air. I have 4 different pumps and none will fit the design of the wheel and tube stem.To repair or replace the tube - good luck! You need to remove one bolt through the hub, holding the same allen bit on both sides at the same time (hope you have 2!). There are two little hub components that fall out when the wheel comes out. Don't lose them! Then there are four bolt on one side of the wheel and four nuts on the other side. Don't drop any! When you get the wheel apart there is ANOTHER loose hub part that falls out. How many pieces are we dealing with now? Not counting the two bit sets I have out. Yikes!Hopefully you have a spare or patch kit. After you fix or replace the tube, you have to line the wheel halves up with each other, and the tube stem. Don't forget to put the inner hub lose piece in. And don't worry about lining it up because there is no way to. You'll end up just rattling the wheel around until the bolt finds it's way in. But first you have to hold all those nuts in while you screw the four bolts back in. THEN hold the wheel to the scooter AND the two outer hub components while you put the FINAL bolt back in - also holding both ends so the bolt will screw in. Remember, you have to shake the scooter and all those components until the bolt finds it's way to that inner hub piece. It's helpful if you have two other people to help.So now that you have it all back together get your needle nose pliers to pull the stem out so you can attach a pump. Pump up to 60 PSI and cross your fingers. Oh, the patch didn't take? Don't worry, just repeat all those previous steps!Try not to think how you just paid $130 bucks for a scooter, or how the designer is on the beach in the Caribbean.One star left only because my kid likes it. LOL

First scooter and never regret to get a tyre version
Intended to get a scooter to have fun with my daughter, this allow me to ride easily, comfortably and moderate speed to stay close with my daughter. It can go fast also for personal errands, and the tyre design make it safe to carry some packages while riding. Good one!Some comments here said that hard to inflate the tyre due to the design, but I don’t find it difficult. Just need to get the angle right will do.Happy buy with good discount from here. Recommended!
