I have it connected to my Astell & Kern DAP using the speaker's RCA Analog connection to the DAP's 3.5mm output. The sound is rich and detailed for such a "small" speaker. The FLAC files come across with nice details out of this speaker! Extremely helpful!!! Have not used it for the Bluetooth feature as I listen to alot of hi res FLAC's.

I’m not a fancy sound review guy… but man, this thing is awesome. I put it in the back bedroom of our house and slowly turned it up. This one alone filled the house with amazing sound. I am a happy camper. I have been a Bo$e fan for years… I think I’m a Klipsch fan now. The old school looks takes the cake. Perfect.

Got this hooked up yesterday. I was cross shopping with Sonos Era 300. At the end of the day I went with the Klipsch 3 ii because it looks nicer in my room and cost less.The sound quality is great at this price point. I would consider it a good value. I've listened off Bluetooth, and then I plugged in an audio quest DAC and used the 3.5mm aux input. I could barely detect a difference in sound quality between the two, so the DAC in the Klipsch must be pretty decent. I do notice that the speakers are quite directional, and by that I mean that it sounds much better when your ears are roughly level with the speaker. I've placed it on a side table that is about waist high for me and I noticed the detail and balance of the sound is much better when I'm sitting in front of it and not walking around. Some other speakers that have drivers pointing in more directions like the Sonos Era series or five might be better for dispersing the sound in the room.The controls are dead simple. I noticed that the volume knob does not control the Bluetooth output volume on my phone like other Bluetooth accessories. So I just turned the volume on the speaker up to Max and adjust the volume in the room with my phone. The included remote could be used to fine tune volume or adjust it in a pinch if your phone isn't handy.

Perfect item. Love the midcentury modern look, love the sound, love the ease of use. Have some experience with other similar market items. Klipsch has always done well by us. It has one feature I am embarrassed to mention. The controls are few and "obvious," and so, why bother to read the little manual? But if one is not connecting with blue tooth easily one needs to push down on the dial to reset the effort, and that does work. But pushing down on the dial will never occur to you on your own. Finally, in frustration I found the manual and read it, and duh.

Update: After several months with this product, I can say it is probably the worst purchase I've made in the past several years. I can't even tell what Alexa is saying most of the time due to the lack of treble. And now it makes random loud popping noises 3-4 times per day out of nowhere, when the speaker is not even in use. I can't tell if it's an Bolo Echo issue or a speaker issue, but my previous speaker didn't have this issue. I can't imagine ever buying anything by Klipsch again.Cosmetically:- Wooden corner damaged and hidden with furniture pen. I had to do further touch-up.- Finish is dull, but polishes up okay with polish and elbow grease.Sonically:- I'm using this in a small kitchen, and the Three-II is more than adequate, and performs evenly at volumes that exceed my needs.- The mix is very mid-forward. So much so that Alexa sounds like she has a terrible head cold. In fact, it's bad enough that I would recommend against this unit if you listen to podcasts or news.- Dedicated tweeters would have helped immensely, though that would push the price out of reach. But the full-range speakers just can't provide the clarity needed to take this beyond being mediocre.- This is a stereo unit, though it's not really apparent unless you get really close to the speakers. In the 80's I had a Panasonic clock radio that was stereo, and at half the size, it was able to provide a broader stereo field. So much for progress.Functionality:- I use this with an Alexa dot. The Alexa app no longer includes EQ, so there's no way to improve the mix. bummer.- When streaming from my iphone via Bluetooth, Apple's EQ does help compensate for the challenges described above. But that's a lot less convenience than just saying Alexa, play LCD Soundsystem. (a pretty good artist to use to test the sound, btw)- Something weird: When A/B testing between iphone/bluetooth vs Alexa dot, there were times when both would be playing, which somehow reduced the overall volume substantially. This is not something you'll likely encounter unless you're really geeking out. And I was totally geeking out.Overall:I paid about $220, close to what I paid a decade ago for the Jawbone Big Jambox that the Three II replaced. At twice the size, it's not really an apples to apples replacement, but aside from the afore mentioned heavy midrange, it's an improvement from the Jambox. That said, if I'd paid the full retail price that Klispsch lists on their website, I would have shipped it back immediately. The Three II just doesn't have any sparkle.This is my first exposure to Klipsch products, and I'm pretty underwhelmed. I suspect they needed to make some tough compromises to compete with Marshall's line (which I have not heard). But it's not a great way to introduce the brand, and I'll probably not recommend this to anyone who really loves music.

No suelo dejar opiniones tan extensas pero este producto lo amerita. Me impresionó el volumen y la calidad del sonido que se pueden obtener de un sistema del tamaño aproximado al de una caja de zapatos; su sonido es simplemente increíble. Agregaría que llega a ser hipnotizante. La nitidez con la que cualquier tipo de música es reproducida permite "descubrir" nuevos sonidos y detalles en las melodías de siempre. Y por fortuna esto es perceptible a lo largo del rango de volumen. Si a esto le agregamos que su calidad de materiales y hechura que son un placer visual y táctil, tenemos un estéreo de mesa cercano a la perfección. ¿Qué le faltaría? Pues en mi opinión le falta poder conectarse a través de WiFi directamente a plataformas como Spotify y hasta poder enlazarse con otras bocinas y hacer una red dentro de la casa. Aún así, estoy altamente satisfecho con mi compra. ¿Qué no me gustó? Que los ajustes de volumen desde el control remoto tienen un ligero retraso, además de ser en incrementos/decrementos, para mi gusto, muy grandes. No es la gran cosa, pero es un aspecto mejorable.
Klipsch the 3 ii stand alone bluetooth speaker
Very happy with the Klipsch Bluetooth speaker. Very clear, balanced & loud (if needs be). Has cable (Aux) cable input so I can use my CD audio player.Plays from my mobile phone with ease.It's all I need. I sold my valve hifi power & preamp with a huge Klipsch floor speakers.I have simplified my music listening requirements.
Excellent sound
I bought this unit to replace my 30 year old "stereo" with limited space for a sound system. So far I have connected a CD player and IPod Classic and both sound fantastic. The bass does not boom like Bose units and the trebles are nice and crisp. Straight out of the box the tone is very nicely balanced. I have tried several music types and all sound as they should. My standard sound check (from CDs): - Vivaldi - Sacred Choral Music, Pink Floyd - Time, Robert Michaels - Cafe Allegro and Django Reinhardt - Minor Swing.I have not tried the Bluetooth yet but when I do I would only rate it on connect-ability as sound quality through Bluetooth is not as good on any device (having said that my old ears probably will not be able to tell the difference much longer)I highly recommend this unit, it sound fantastic and looks great too, just like an old radio.
