Was using cheap aftermarket filters for years with no issues, but got burned on the last set and my machine stopped working. After disassembling the whole thing, cleaning the internals and replacing the pump it turns out I got a bad batch of aftermarket filters. Will only be ordering these from now on. Appears to be a genuine filter, machine works great again. Expensive though, a bulk option would be nice.

I spend the extra on an actual Breville water filter replacement since the barista cost so much. I’m no putting the knockoffs in my machine. It’s well worth it; it’s held up and Iin Great condition.

It serves its purpose, and it’s functional. I previously tried to save a few bucks by purchasing a different off-brand set of four. For some reason that I never figured out, that fourth filter caused the machine to malfunction until I replaced it. Whatever money I may have saved by trying the off-brand set was basically lost since I had to throw a quarter of it away. As soon as I bought the authentic Breville brand filter, I went back to having no issues. I wish it were a bit cheaper considering what it is, but the value is there considering I never have to worry about the machine breaking down so long as I’m using the branded filter.
