Definitely cooling. Many mention difficulty in getting parasol back into its carrying case, but just think of it like rolling up a tent or sleeping bag. I got this because part of my job entails walking a long distance across the large campus in the afternoon, and I wanted sun protection, as well as something to help battle the heat, but I wanted to do it with style, because, why not? So when I saw this white and pink, ultra-feminine parasol with UV protection thanks to the special, dark lining underneath, I decided to give it a shot. I absolutely love it, from the lace and sequins details, to the white and gold handle, and even the little gold, rose shaped emblem at the top of the parasol. It provides great shade for sun protection and the dark lining helps with heat protection. It has also done well in a strong breeze. The only thing I would change is making it have an automatic open, but I also understand that due to the delicate nature of the parasol, a slow, manual open may be necessary. My only other frustration is that it’s hard to wrap once closed again, but it’s doable. What is not doable is getting back in the gorgeous matching cover it came with. The material is just too full. But these are little things and overall, I would absolutely recommend it for someone who wants something ultra feminine to protect them from the sun.

This umbrella is a piece of garbage. Doesn’t even have the ability to lock into the open position and doesn’t close properly. One of the arms is bent. Don’t waste your money. Could be sold at the dollar store maybe.

The fabric is much nicer then I thought it would be! It has a thick black on the inside that blocks the sun out perfectly. It's hard to get back into the pouch it came with but worth it for easy transportation. I was afraid it might be tiny toy size for a child but it was a full umbrella size. It is definitely worth the price. And opens and closes easily. Over all my daughter loves using it. It's easy and beautiful perfect for a little princess.

I was absolutely surprised how beautiful AND sturdy this parasol is. I’m using it multiple times a day. It came in a nice sturdy black box, then the way it folds, it is black because its the underside (initially, I thought i ordered or they made a shipment mistake), but once you open it, it is beautiful! Love it, I wish they had more of a variety so i can alternate daily.

Adorable parasol. You just will find it hard to get back in the case. Other reviews stated this so you would think the manufacturer would have taken notice and made the case with a bit more fabric. Something this delicate should be stored in a case when not using. Very pretty product. So feminine.

I began using my parasol immediately, and I am very favorably impressed with its ability to shield me from UV rays and cut the brightness of the sun, while still looking pretty. My only concern is that there are no instructions that will help me to fold the parasol completely and return it to its lovely carrying case.I plan to purchase another parasol to add to the two that I have already purchased, so that I will have three colors to go with anything that I wear.

This sun parasol is very sturdy, well made, and SO pretty, with all the pink and white sparkles and beads. But the best thing is that it really works!I’ve used it many times now, including at an outdoor music festival on a sunny 88° day. I credit the parasol with helping me to avoid sunstroke/heatstroke that day. The black lining truly blocks the sun, it’s fabulous.Other reviewers have mentioned that you can’t get it back into its original “jacket”, but that’s a small price to pay for such a great product.I highly recommend!
