I didn’t personally install this replacement piece into my daughters game so I can’t comment on how the process went. I can however say that it working and what was once a broken Nintendo switch is now a fixed switch.I would purchase again if ever needed.

For these type-c with 2 row pins, you have to prep not only the pads but also the pins because obviously the hot air can not reach directly the inner row, prepping those pins will make it much easier for the installation. the critical review said the reviewer tried 4 of these but had the same problm where when the cable moves the switch stop charging but with "OEM" it works fine, maybe that the reason was the "OEM" has solder on it and it was easier to make contacts with the pads. Also, only one side of the cable works but not the other? the inner rows are probably not soldered. I can be wrong, but mine works just fine.

This was installed in a Switch Lite, so I'm not sure if that has any bearing on the only gripe I had with this, albeit minor:It worked and fit on the board perfectly. The mouth of the port was wider than the hold at the bottom of the casing, however. This was easily rectified by melting the hole out with my soldering iron.Aside from that minor issue, this worked perfectly.

My switch device changing port broken and I got a quotes range from $120 to $150 for repair. So, I decided to try repair it myself. I bought ~$6 material (port replacement from Bolo). Disassembled my switch & replaced broken changing port....and it worked! Starts charging again. It’s my first time repair on switch device. So, I spent $6 and ~6 hrs total.

I don’t know if this is for the Lite only but it certainly does not fit on the first gen Switch… the pins do not bend downward like on the usb c port I removed from my switch. They extend forward without making any L shaped curve, which is what it needs to do in order to even touch the motherboard. They don’t even reach the soldering points at all! What the hell is this?
