Wherever KDF Media is used, they can eliminate the need for costly, and sometimes harmful water treatments. KDF 55 is used to add to an existing filter tank. You can add this to any other types of filter media such as a water softener or carbon tank to remove higher levels of chlorine or other heavy metals. 10 lbs is usually sufficient for a 2 cu. ft. size tank system.
