I am going to be having a get-together in my home, where I will have more than 20 guests and I will be setting up a "coffee station" in the kitchen where people will be able to help themselves throughout the day. I happened to spy this excellent purchase on sale, at a remarkably reasonable price, with next day delivery!It was well packaged (a box, within a box).The date of manufacture and expiration are clearly marked on the box.My pods are fresh, and do not expire for 9 months.Yes, within the box itself there is no sort of attempt at organization.The pods are simply put into a box, and lay in a haphazard manner.So what? It doesn’t affect the quality. I did not have one single pod that was broken or misshapen.I did not open the box to find any problems whatsoever.These French roast coffee pods by Solimo work exactly as one would expect and I have had absolutely no difficulty in utilizing them.The lid remains in place throughout the coffee brewing process, my machine punctured the lid dead center. The machine also correctly makes the appropriate hole in the bottom of the pod in the appropriate place.(I have enclosed several photos so folks can get a good close up view of the product).The flavor of this French Roast coffee is good. It is not the best I've ever had; it is not extraordinary. It does however produce a dark smoky satisfying cup. Were I not having guests, I would not have purchased 100 of these pods, but they are the perfect solution for my get-together.Finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention that at this price per cup, for French Roast of this quality, this is quite a bargain.Recommended✅

The flavor is great Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have ordered this coffee 33 times and it is a great coffee!The main reason for this review is to complain about how hard it is to open these boxes, they use way too much glue. If you want to glue them so well then build a zip cord around the top of the box! You put zip cord on your paper shipping envelopes so do it for the boxes. Just lighten up on the glue for the cartons and make your older customers a lot happier! Thanks

I use a CHULUX machine that's compatible with Nespresso Original pods, and I’ve been looking for a more affordable alternative to the official Nespresso Lungo capsules. I found these and decided to give them a try.Unfortunately, I was disappointed when brewing them as a Lungo. The taste was weak and watery—more like a diluted Keurig coffee than a true Nespresso experience. While the caffeine content is definitely there, the flavor just didn’t hold up in a longer brew.However, when I used the same pod to make a standard Espresso shot, the result was excellent. Full-bodied, smooth, and exactly what I was hoping for. I now brew it as an Espresso and simply add hot water if I want a longer drink. That workaround works perfectly.The price is great, which makes this a good budget option overall. My only other issue is that you have to buy a large quantity—50 pods at once—which is a bit much if you're unsure about the taste.Bottom line: Not suitable as a Lungo, but makes a solid Espresso. Worth it for the price, so I’m giving it 4 stars.

We are coffee connoisseurs and were purchasing the Columbian Medium Roast "named brand" about carton a month (96 pods) for over 5 years and used to get it same day next day. When the name brand decided to suspend their rapid delivery, we started to shop around. Big mistake on their part as we discovered that this coffee was better, less expensive and arrives the next day. Thank you name brand for guiding us to this product!

Coffee i such a subjective drink. I don't like Starbucks but I love strong coffee. My Keurig has a strong button issue always use, my husband regular strength and we both love this coffee the taste and aroma are very satisfying. Also the plastic cups hold up, no leaking or exploding or whatever they do that causes coffee grinds in your cup and a deep cleaning of the machine.

While the coffee tastes OK, I emptied the capsule bin and compared these plastic capsules with some of the original metal Nespresso brand capsules that came with this new machine. I was shocked to note that the four holes in the thin membrane of the plastic ones were tiny compared to the aluminum Nespresso holes. I think the reason is that the plastic capsules have a very thin alumnum foil type base, which offers little resistance to the puncture prongs, so a minimal hole results, whereas the solid aluminum capsule gives more resistance and you get about a triple sized hole by comparison.The base should have four holes for the water flow. Also looking at the top of the capsules, I noted that only about half of the waffle type squares were punctured in the plastic capsules, whereas about 80% of the squares of the Nespresso capsule were punctured. This has to affect water flow and I wonder if much of the coffee in the plastic pods doesn't even get wet enough to contribute to the coffee. So in future I will shop for solid aluminum base capsules only, I think it is quite a difference.

I bought the blonde French vanilla flavor mainly because it was the cheapest blonde roast pod I could find on Bolo in bulk. To my surprise it tastes amazing! I'm paying less than 30¢ per pod with these compared to some that are 40¢ or more and it tastes better than most!
