I love pens. These are a great quality super, easy to write with and super cute. It did take a couple of minutes to set up and have the ink come out properly, but with a fountain style pen. That is typical, and it is well worth it.

My first foutain pen is the Zebra V-301. I still have it but the cap does not snap any more to the tail of the pen. This makes if unconfortable to use at times, remember the cap on the tail is to help with the writing experience, even for these cheap ones.So, what I like about these fountain pens is that the cap still snaps to the front end, but is a compresion fit to the tail end of the pen. I don't see it failing like my Zebra fountain pen. What I also like is the fine nib, I am a lefty writter so, the fine nib is a super plus, a necessity for me. Being a lefty with fountain pens you have to learn to be graceful when writting, and these are some smooth writting fountain pens for the price. These pens write just as nice as my MONTEVERDE fountain pen.I love them as they are, but I still like to suggest some medium nib choices too.Thanks Ooly!! :-)

These fountain pens by Ooly are really awesome for the price. So far the ink has worked well after a little fiddling with the cartridge and writing in small circles as their website suggested. My only issue is that the material the pen is made of, came out of the box very sticky. What’s up with that? I look d for a reveiw that talked about the stickiness and some folks buying from om Bolo(unsure of the dealer) said theirs was sticky too. I’m going to try goo gone and see it that will work.Also, would like to add that a larger Nib size would be fun to try on these as well if Ooly would make one. :)

Love these pens. Writes smooth, doesn’t snag the paper. Only downside is having to buy a specific brand of refill cartridges, but it’s not annoying enough to knock off a star.

I have other fountain pens of varying quality and prices and unfortunately these were very disappointing. I followed instructions to insert the cartridges but I can not get the ink to reliably write. Unfortunately these are worst fountain pens I’ve bought so far. Which is a shame because they are cute and have interesting colors.

The pens wrote beautifully and the colors are amazing, but I don’t know if my pens were just defective cause the pens themselves felt sticky. Like there was sticker residue on each pen. It tried washing the pens but that seemed to make them worse. It was very unusual.

Really comfortable, fantastic value
I'v got at least 30 fountain pens of varying age and quality, and this one has immediately shot up to the top of my list.For my taste, the nib is just right. It has enough give to make it comfortable, but not enough to make it sloppy.The barrel is smooth and nicely sized for an average hand. The finger grip is comfortable.The lid snaps shut firmly, the parts screw together securely, and the ink hasn't leaked even a little bit.While I have many bottles of ink, I've been using the OOLY cartridges as well, and the ink is good too. Bright, opaque, smooth - looks good on the page.The only thing to bear in mind is that this is an inexpensive pen. If you were hoping for a tortoise-shell finish with a high end nib, you probably want to look above this price point. The plastic is nice, shiny and smooth, but it is plastic. It could be snapped in half without a ton of effort. It's under $10!If you're new to fountain pens, this is a nice one to start with. If you find they are not for you, then at least you tried a decent one and didn't spend a lot of money. If you want a pen to use everyday and not worry about wear and tear, this one isn't very delicate and is inexpensive to replace.Highly recommend.
Decent starter pens, great deal for the price.
Using these to teach penmanship and occasionally add colour pops to my own notes.These pens have nice sturdy nibs for beginners. I collect fountain pens but the nibs on my own pens are too delicate to let my kids use- these Ooly pens have been perfect for 8-10 year old to use without bending or damaging the nibs. Pens are also light and easy for them to manipulate.Ink flow is decent, the barrel is wide enough to encourage a good grip and the pens don’t leak.Ooly has instructional videos to troubleshoot ink install and getting the pens set up.Only major con is the price of refill ink. Yikes.
Poor quality pen
The media could not be loaded. I’ve used ooly pens countless times and I’ve always been happy with them. However, this pen has been disappointing. I don’t know if I got a dud or if it’s the fountain tip style of this product but it’s leaking, doesn’t write smoothly, and is just a disappointment.
